4. The Domain of Children

A/N: From this chapter, the story will follow the anime storylines. I will try my best to change but at the same keep the original storyline, and add some things to keep this story interesting.

Oh maybe some of the dialogues were not the same as in the anime so I'm sorry. Feel free to correct me.

It was very late at night when Ai Ohto decided to took a walk. While walking, she found a firefly dying on a crossing line. When she took a look at it, a car approached her and stopped behind her just a few metres away. She stood up with the firefly on her hand, the driver honked the car horn. She turned her body to the car, pouted and then walked away.

Ai went to a place and decided to buried the firefly near a tree. She broke a small plant around the tree, dug a small hole, put the firefly in the hole and then buried it with the dirt she dug. She also planted back the plant she just took near the firefly little grave. She prayed for the firefly.

Suddenly the light turned off and the firefly Ai just buried managed to got out from its grave. The firefly called out Ai's name, 'Ai Ohto,' it started flying. Ai opened her eyes and then looked at the firefly. 'What are you doing in a place like this?' the firefly asked Ai. 'Walking,' Ai replied, 'This late at night?' the firefly questioned.

'Uh?! A dream?' Ai looked back at the small grave she made for the firefly. 'You don't like dreams?' the firefly got a little closer to Ai, 'Perhaps you prefer reality,' it continued, she looked at it.

Ai followed the firefly to somewhere, it got her jogged to follow it, 'The first time's free. After that bring your wallet,' it said. 'How much?' Ai asked. 'Don't worry, I know you'll like it. It's for a very special capsule machine,' it answered. 'Special how?' Ai asked while the firefly brought her to a place, seems like a playground.

'It has the thing you want in it,' the firefly answered Ai question again. 'Okay, but there isn't really anything I want,' Ai looked at where the firefly stopped and saw an escalator inside a tunnel. She got on the escalator, when she was few metres away from the entrance, the light turned off one by one.

The firefly laughed, 'Don't lie! Of course there is,' as it finished talking, the escalator suddenly stopped making Ai looked back on the front when she suddenly fell, 'Huh?' was she said before she fell.

In the morning, Ai woke up with an egg behind her as she was lying. She did her morning routine, 'It wasn't a dream,' she thought, 'Should I refrigerate it or something?' she thought again with the egg on her hand. 'Wait. It's an egg, so maybe I should sit on it,'

Before she took a bath, she tried to opened the egg using her teeth but the egg was hard, 'Hmm... Oh. What if I boil the egg by accident?' she said to herself. 'Can I crack it? Actually, I'm not even sure if I should crack the thing,'

Since, Ai started school from home so, she just stayed at home not doing anything that was productive but for some times, F/N texted her and updated her with any school activities so she didn't really felt left out. Just like what F/N told her a few days ago, Mr. Sawaki did visit her, 'Ai? Your teacher is here,' Tae called her daughter.

'Oh, there's no need to force her to get up, ma'am, I just wanted to bring her this week's printouts,' Mr. Sawaki said, they were in front of Ai's room, 'I'm so sorry. Thank you for being so kind,' Tae apologized and thanked Mr. Sawaki. 'Please, it's nothing. You're on my way home-,' Mr. Sawaki talked with Tae for some minutes.
