Another late night at the office. It appears that the cases he had recently been taking in were getting harder and harder. Or maybe more tedious than the last. Honestly at this stage, Apollo was too tired to think about how difficult a case was. All he had on his mind was going home and falling asleep on his bed. That's all.

So it came as a surprise when he had finally shut down his computer and packed away the case files that the door to his office opened and in stepped a tall, blond man in a magenta jacket. "Herr Forehead? You're still awake?"

"Klavier!" Rising from his seat, Apollo growled at the prosecutor. "What are you doing here?! And what do you mean 'am I still awake'? Why would I be asleep? And why would you want me asleep?"

Klavier chuckled, still standing in the doorway. "Slow down, Apollo! Scowl anymore and you'll have wrinkles before you're thirty!" Apollo's scowl only deepened and made Klavier laugh even more. "You're so easy to tease and anger. Why don't you relax a little and—"

"—and how am I supposed to relax if you keep riling me up?"

"Oh," Klavier said with a grin on his face. "I never realised I had that kind of effect on you simply from speaking, Herr Forehead~ Or maybe my presence is too much for you also?"

"Wh...what are you on about, Klavier?! Th-that's not what I meant!" Realising the meaning behind his words, Apollo grew flustered and tried to downplay Klavier's playful smile. "I-I-I-I meant that you rile me up, like, angry! You make me angry!"

"Is that so?" Unlike what Apollo expected, Klavier didn't act hurt. No fake tears, gasps, fainting spells, nothing. Instead, he turned his back to the young attorney and wheeled something in: a dessert trolley filled with tiny cakes and sweets. "Then I suppose there was no point in bringing these up to you. I make you so mad that you can't even eat these delicious treats I sought out for you—"

"Wait, wait, wait! I didn't mean what I said then either!"

"You didn't?" He watched Apollo carefully, smiling at his guilty face.

Apollo fidgeted on the spot. He fiddled with his hands, looking anywhere but at Klavier, before giving his response. "I'm...sorry, Klavier. You don't make me as angry as I say you do."

"Oh?"

"In fact, you make me very...very, um..." He inhaled then exhaled slowly. Looking up, he met Klavier's eyes and smiled. "You make me very happy. And because I know you'll pester me until I say this, you make me very, very, very happy and I couldn't ask for a better boy...a better boyfriend than you."

Klavier's face fell slightly, his expression like that of a hurt puppy. "I'm just a boyfriend to you? Dear Apollo, you've already forgotten about my proposal to you from the other day?"

Apollo's face twitched. "Klavier, I told you that I'm not accepting anything like that right now. Not until I've gotten so far as to set up my own law firm. Also," he began before Klavier could rebut his point, "how can you expect me to accept your proposal in the form of an open stage performance? IN FRONT OF A HUGE CROWD?!"

"Eh? Was that not good enough?" Turning away, Klavier spoke softly to himself. "Maybe I should include fireworks that spell out 'marry me'..."

"Yeah, fireworks." Apollo rolled his eyes then came around the desk to inspect the trolley. He couldn't help but gasp a little over the intricacy and detail of the desserts. Even Klavier caught a glimpse of his eyes lighting up. "Wow! These look amazing, Klavier!"
