Every day felt like an even better version of the next, atleast for Beam it did.
Following around his favorite person in the entire world was his #1 favorite activity, although he could tell the other man didn't like it as much as he did, it's the moment that counts, it almost reminded him of the small furry creatures known as dogs. He wouldn't mind if Denji made him wear a collar and leash to keep the shark-devil from going far, in fact, it'll just make him want to have a reason to stick closer to Denji than usual.
The pair turned a corner as they made their way inside of a local cafe, a few people were inside already, small chattering along with the sound of clanking from behind the counter. Looking up from the ground his body was submerged in he could see his 'best friend' smiling while tidying himself up, he quickly did a breath check and a smell check as he popped a mint in his mouth. 'Maybe it's for good measures,' the shark thought to himself as Denji looked below him, his smile turning into that of disgust upon making eye contact? Face to face? Whatever, Beam didn't really have eyes so he doesn't blame him. His smile was all he needed.
"Beam, go find a table." There was a hint of annoyance in Denji's voice, Beam wasn't upset, even though he wanted to be, he kept smiling, "Yes Maste-" "Denji, just say Denji." The other boy groaned as his hands pinched the bridge of his nose, "Just go."
Beam quickly submerged so he could make his way to the bathroom stalls, he opened a briefcase to reveal the plain white shirt with black pants and shoes.
"Makima told me to put this on if me and Denji go somewhere public. Denji doesn't want me near him though.." Beam's voice quivered slightly as the feeling of sorrow made his head lean down slightly. "Am I just in the way.." He knew the pattern Denji did, after hours of patrolling the boy would go to a certain cafe to meet a lady, she did smell great, but there was something else that made Beam worry about his crush's safety.
'Crush!?' Beam blushed as he put his hands on his face, "Lord Denji would never see me the same way!" He hit himself in the head while bringing his legs close towards his face, "Denji do deserve her.. He wants a woman.." The memory of getting punched in the face plays in his head as his friend.
"Gross! I'm not into dudes!"
What Beam thought was only an hour being in the bathroom turned out to be longer as Denji walked inside, "Where the hell is Beam.." He grumbled while whipping his junk out to take a piss at the urinal, he looked up towards the light while smiling to himself, "Can't believe Reze touched my hand!" He did a little leg dance while shaking his dick to get the rest of the pee out. Putting his dick back in and walking over to the sink he makes an abrupt stop, "But what if Makima finds out...Ugh!" He plants his head onto the marble sink while flicking the knob to turn on.
"Where the fuck is Beaam!"
Upon hearing his name the shark fiend woke up from his position in the stall, not his best sleeping spot but maybe tiredness got the best of him.
Denji turned around towards the stall, "Is somebody taking a dump?" He scrunched his nose at the thought until somebody came walking out, the shark fiend who didn't notice the chainsaw man presence yet looked different from before. "Beam." Denji called out as the shark snout pointed upwards towards him, "Oh. Oh! M-ma- C- Denji! Hi," Beam was a jumbled mess, to be found not only at his lowest point but also by the highest person he respected was not the way he wanted to be seen currently.
He needed to get away.
"Uh. I'm going to go Denji!" He was quick to submerged before the halfling got the chance to stop him, "Wuh da fuck was that 'bout.." Another groan escaped his mouth as he began his journey home.
