Chapter 10

It's been 5 years since the battle between reality and darkness. During the course of those years Steve and Nancy got married and had there 6 little nuggets 3 girls: Amanda, Mollie and Claire and 3 boys : Corey, Steven Jr and Tommy Steve went to college for business and opened the 1st ever video store / ice cream parlor called  : Harringtons. Nancy became a private investigator with the Hawkins PD. Vicky and Robin moved to Utah after Vicky was offered a teaching position at an elementary school they have 2 adopted children a son named Joseph and a daughter named Christina, Robin took a job as a secretary at a dentist office. The kids Max, Lucas, dustin el and Mike all graduated high school and are now in different parts of the US, rumor has it Dustin is planning on purposing to his girlfriend Susie on Valentine's Day. And last but certainly not least is Nora and Eddie. After the events that had taken place both Eddie and Nora decided it would be best to start a new life somewhere a little more colorful as Nora liked to say. they waited about a year before an amazing opportunity came when Nora was offered to write for PWA (playhouse writers association) they published over thousands of children's books worldwide and even turned some of there stories into movies and tv shows which Nora was also elected to co write television scrips for shows such as Barney , Sesame Street and even the power rangers. Eddie was signed with HardRock records as a music producer and writing coordinator which moved them out to Malibu California  they married a year after moving and had two beautiful twin daughters : Emma and Ellie. Even though the gang is all spread out in different parts of the world there is 1 holiday that brings them all together no matter how far away they may be.

Christmas Eve Malibu Califorina 1992

Nora sprints around the house making sure the finishing touches are done before there guest arrive, she hears the phone ring and groans " hello?"
" hi mom." Nora says trying to hide the annoyance in her voice it wasn't that she didn't like getting calls from her parents especially around the holidays but she lived in a 4 bedroom two story house and everything had to be clean and perfect she didn't have time to chat.
" Yes mom the girls are fine." She says as  she tucks the phone between her ear and her shoulder as she feels a tug on her dress, she looks down to see little Emma staring up at her. Both girls were  a spitting image of Eddie, from his curly brown hair to his wide smile they even had his goofy yet sarcastic personality at the age of 3.
" what is it honey?" Nora whispered
Emma holds up her cup " juice."
Nora fills the cup with juice and sends Emma on her way.
" Mom, mom I have to call you back okay I love you bye. " Nora says quickly and hangs up the phone.
The guests slowly start arriving as day turned to night 1st to arrive was the Harringtons. " hey Tommy no running in the house !" Nancy shouts.
She hugs Nora tightly " you look like you've been busy." She says
" I have been Ellie's been sick so Eddie's been taking care of her while I take care of things down here. " Nora says
" we'll here let me help you." Nancy says as she sets the kids stuff down. " Honey! Honey!" Nancy called out.
" yes dear" Steve replies as he comes into the room with a plate of cookies and powered sugar all over his face.
" you look like one of our children." Nancy says trying to hide a laugh
" Nora these cookies. Amazing they taste just like moms." Steve says with a mouth full of cookies
Nora giggles and shakes her head.
As the night progresses more guest came to the house Nora began to wonder where Eddie was.
She finds little Emma sitting on the couch coloring.
" hi honey, where's daddy?" Nora asked.
Emma shrugged her little shoulders as she focused on her picture.
Nora makes her way upstairs " honey ?" She called out as  she made her way upstairs to the girls room she peeked inside the girls bedroom there was Eddie asleep on the girls bed, a story book laid flat on his chest little Ellie's head rested on Eddie's chest as she too slept soundly. Nora couldn't help but smile no matter how chaotic things may have been back then and even now in the end  it was all worth fighting for, her happy ending was right in front of her sleeping peacefully . She kisses both there foreheads, as she walked to the door to exit the room she glanced back at her husband and her daughter sleeping peacefully one last time. She whispers " I love you both so much" she switches off the bedroom light and closes the door.
