Knowing You Better: Part 3

Sonics POV:

As soon as we closed the door, I asked him, "So, how's the new outfit?"

"It's okay, I like the colors and how spacey it is."

"Good, I'm glad!"

•After Lunch•

"Now that was some good rice! And that corned-beef was delicious!" I said, walking to the Chao Garden with Shadow walking beside me. I saw Shadow give a soft smile.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it, it was simple-"

"But tasty!" I said, cutting Shadow off. I saw Shadow roll his eyes playfully in the corner of my eye.

"I can't wait to see Speedy! I haven't seen him for a while now because of my 'princely duties'. I miss him."

"I kinda miss Ebony, I'm kinda worried about him."

"Why?"

"Cause he's a really small Chao, smaller than the rest and he needs a lot of attention. I'm just... worried he isn't getting as much attention as he needs." He said, crossing his arms.

"Aww it's adorable that you're so worried about your Chao, Shadz. You're like a mom." I said, opening the gate that leads to the Chao Garden.

"I do not!" Shadow said, blushing a bit as he walked in.

"Do too!"

"Do not!"

"Yes you do! You always make sure he's fed, he gets enough sleep, and make sure that he plays around with Speedy so that he stays healthy!"

"Yeah, but I don't act motherly towards him! I just... wanna make sure he's okay."

"Chao, chao!" Ebony said, flying into Shadow's arms and stopping an upcoming fight between me and Shadow.

"Hi Ebony! How are you, are you hungry?" Ebony shook his head to Shadow's question and tugged on his arm.

"You want me to follow you?" The Chao nodded, flying away. Shadow and I walked after him, closely following behind.

"...Mom."

"I will whoop your ass." I chuckled, as we stopped in front of Ebony and Speedy's bed. Ebony then pointed towards the sleeping blue Chao on the bed.

"Chao Chao!" Ebony said, looking worried.

"What's wrong with Speedy?" I asked Ebony, kneeling down. Ebony then laid down on the bed and closed his eyes, then proceeded to open them back up, sitting up and yawning.

"You woke up already but he's still asleep?" The Chao nodded, showing major distress.

"Oh it's okay Ebony! Speedy's just a really heavy sleeper. Here I'll wake him up!" I said, going towards a mango tree and picking one of them off, then cut it up into bite-sized pieces. I then walked back over to the bed with one of the slices and held it over Speedy's head. Suddenly, Speedy's eyes snapped open and he jumped up, grabbing the mango slice from me and happily ate it.

"See, you can only wake up Speedy with food." Ebony bounced up and catapulted himself into Speedy, crying and kissing him on the cheek.

"Aww, Ebony really cares about Speedy, doesn't he? Isn't that precious?" I said, grabbing Shadz by the waist and pulling him closer to me.

"Yeah, it is..." Shadow said, leaning his head on my shoulder. I blushed lightly and looked down at him. His beautiful, ruby-red eyes looked so peaceful.

'Arent you guys adorable? You and Shadow make such a cute couple!'

'Yeah, we kinda do... Wait, what? Did I just- Do I- No it can't be that. Do I like him?'
