There was a girl. She lived in a quiet and isolated area with a small elementary school nearby. Children who graduated from there were expected to start working. Most people were farmers but some were teachers, tailors, or grocers. Her family consisted on a father, a mother and herself. Her mother was a tailor and her father was a well-known writer. The girl who had turned 18 helped her mother around the house and stuff like that. But there was something different in this family from normal families. The parents always fought and the father was abusive, though he never as much as laid a finger on his daughter, rather he avoided her and this wasn't the only thing out of place in this family.

Here is the story of Amethyst Ciel Garner, daughter of Carla and William Garner...

Amethyst pushed her auburn forelocks ruthlessly. She sighed, they always blocked her eyes. Just then, Amy felt something touch her skin, she looked up and saw the endless gray sky start crying 'just like me when my favorite dress will get drenched' she thought as she grabbed her basket and ran back into her house. By the time she was in the house though she was undeniably drenched, she wrung her layered hair like a sponge by the doorway and left a wet trail of water as she strolled to her room.

She put her basket on her bed and changed into a dry dress after properly drying herself. She then sat by her basket and sorted through all the plants. They were plants used to make the dyes for her mother's cloth. Amy enjoyed finding them and was also pretty good at it. Just then, her room door swung open, her mother stood there, her hands on her hips and she didn't look happy. "Really Amethyst! How many times have I told you about leaving muddy trails inside the house?!" Amy was going to retort back when she noticed a red gash on the left side of her forehead. Her mother must've noticed the look on her face for she said, "I just fell and hit my head by the door, do you have any bandages?" Amy just silently nodded as she fished out a long bandage wrap. She extended her hand and her mother took it. She smiled slightly then left closing Amy's door behind her.

Amy knew, she knew her mother wasn't clumsy, she knew her father probably pushed her mother, but what could she do? She remembered that when she was ten and always complained that her mother should leave her father, her mother told her," Be patient, for patience is always rewarded. So let's be patient with your father, alright?' That was her mother's logic but so far it wasn't very rewarding. Amy sighed and got up to clean the wet trail before her mother yelled again.

*Crash* Amy groggily opened her leaf green eyes. Was that a vase she heard fall? Suddenly, she opened her eyes wide and jumped out of bed. Her mother. What happened? Was she safe? Amy took a deep breath and slowly opened her door. She had to see if her mother was okay. She crept by the stairs now clearly hearing yelling. Amy peeked from the wall and saw her parents arguing. She leaned inclosely to hear the argument better.

"-Calm down Will! It's just your imagination!"

"Don't lie Carla! I know it's true!"

"Will! How can you believe them over me?"

"Just go away Carla! Don't make it worse!"

"I'm not! Just calm down! Will..."

Amy's father put his raised hand down and looked at the floor, "You're right....Carla....No!"

William held his head in his hands, he was trembling. Carla hovered over him raw worry plastered over her face. Suddenly, Will reached Carla's neck and squeezed. Amy saw her mother's life slowly leave her. Amy was horrified, she wanted to scream, shout, stop her father but she couldn't move, all she could do was watch as her father coldly murdered her mother. Amy shut her eyes and quivered- her heart beating so fast she thought it would jump out of her chest, her head screaming 'Make it stop!!!!! Make it stop!!!!!'
