I have no idea what happened after I dropped off Layla and Adam because today morning I woke up in my clothes with my hair flying around everywhere. When I lifted my head up, I saw half my body off the bed and I have no idea how I didn't fall off while I was sleeping. At this moment, I am currently taking the worlds fastest shower because I am getting late for school. I hate it when I have races on weekdays...Urghh!
"Good morning Laura!" Maisy chirped from the kitchen as she heard me appear.
"Good morning to you to." I said bluntly while giving Maisy a peck on her cheek.
"Okay, you don't have time for breakfast, so I packed you a heavy lunch and snack. Take this toast and eat on your drive to school." she said while stuffing the bread in my mouth.

Soon I arrived at school and strolled into the building, I heard people gossiping about the race and how 'Speed' made that impossible turn. I smiled to myself and responded to the greetings people said to me.
"OMG! Look, everyone's talking about the race last night!" Layla squealed as she skid across the floor in front of me and came to a halt by grabbing my shoulders. I looked over her shoulder to see a frustrated Adam running towards us.
"What's wrong?" I asked Adam as he approached us. He raised he finger to indicate for me to wait as he caught his breath whilst leaning his palms on his knees.
"This, this little troll," he huffed regaining his posture, "made me run all around school when I told her that you weren't here yet." he said glaring at a now sulking Layla.
"Laura! There you are, did you hear about the race?" Jessy breathed as she ran closer towards us.
"Yeah, she was there with us." Adam said in 'duh' tone.
"What eves, I managed to get in on video and it went viral!" she squealed. I gave her a wide smile to show how happy I was for her before Jordan rushed over. Okay, this is getting out of hand, we're all literally standing in the middle of the corridor two minutes before the warning bell is gonna go off. That meant we were gonna get trampled if we didn't move to the side, so I did what any sane person would do and ran down the corridor turning towards the lockers hoping my friends would catch on. Before I turned the corner I saw them all following me, so I turned to corner and hit my nose on a rock hard wall. I was about to fling backwards, when something grabbed my waist and pulled me up. Phew... I need to thank this person. I looked up to see two hazel eyes boring into my dark brown ones. That when I realised who it was and shot out of his hands.
"Whoaw!" he yelled, "So much for expecting a thank you along with an apology." Josh remarked cockily.
"Thanks," I muttered, "and you were the one who banged into me." I said in the same cocky tone.
"Yeah sure, what ever." he said. I was just about to respond when my friends pulled up behind me and gave us both the glare.
"Hey." a voice came from behind Josh and I could tell it was moving towards us. I tilted my head to see past Josh and saw Alex striding towards us. "Don't tell me there still at it." he said, Alex has been on holiday for two months meaning he missed a whole month of our last year in high school. I saw Adam and them nodding their heads in unison and both Josh and I rolled our eyes. Josh was just about to say something when the warning bell went and decided to leave it.
After collecting my books, I made my way over to History with Jessy, the rest of the 'crew' had other classes. Once inside class I took a seat on the third of the forth rows next to the window. I saw Jessy pulling a seat in front of me because someone had already taken the seat next to me. I turned my head to see who was behind and immediately whipped it back around.
"Surprised you didn't get whip lash."
"Surprised you're not classed as mental."
"Joshhh!" a squeaky voice shrieked as it took the seat next to Josh. I heard Josh groan quietly and smirked to myself knowing he wouldn't be able to bother me for the ret if the lesson because of Alisha Stern. Alisha was the head of the cheerleading group and although she wasn't all mean like the movies show cheerleaders to be, she was a little clingy when it came to Josh. You know the kind that doesn't take a hint. I wonder why she was interested in him anyways when there was a line of other boys waiting for her. I turned to see Jessy who looked a little pissed off, let's just say the head of the cheerleaders and the gossip queen don't get along to well.
After history, the rest of the day was pretty uneventful except from a first year jumping into a puddle of mud thinking it would be cool, be he just ended up in the sick room with a sprained wrist. Clever first years and their attempts to secure a solid spot in school.

After reaching home, I saw my parents car parked outside the house, the one they use when the go on those all important business trips. I went inside to see them both chatting away on the sofa. When they heard footsteps on the marble floor they turned their attention to me, their only daughter. They smiled at me showcasing their lovely white teeth. I smiled back and gave a quick hug to the both of them. Don't get me wrong, I'm upset they don't stick around, but they're always there when I need them to be so I'm not one of them deprived children that you read in books about.
"Honey, wash up and get ready, we're going for dinner at the Davern's." My mum said as I started to climb the stairs. I nodded and made my way to my bedroom and plopped on my bed. Like I have mentioned, my parents and Josh's parents are quite close and mostly every time they return from a long trip, we either have a dinner at there's or they come here. I sighed and looked at the time, I still had one hour and about fourth five minutes till six which was the usual time we went to there house. We would eat at seven, an hour later. During that hour, I'd play with Maddie and bicker with Josh while the adults would chat about what ever adults chat about. I decided to take a little nap because I was sleepy from the race and I had extra time. Plus, I didn't need that much time to get ready to go to Josh's house for dinner because I've been going since I was a little child which meant that both families had seen each other at their worsts.
