Chapter 4: I just wanna talk

It's been about a week since my little encounter with August. He hasn't popped up anywhere else so I'm guessing he took my advice & stayed away from us.

It was Wednesday night and I was getting ready to go to work.

Avia and I had dinner then I have her a bath and got her dressed in her pjs.

"Go get your hair stuff so I can do your hair." I told Avia

"Okay mommy" she sat her IPad on the floor and ran towards her bathroom.

She returned with the basket that had all her hair products in it.

I sat on the couch and she sat on the floor in front of me. She was focused on her iPad which was the only way she let me touch her hair.

I started combing and detangling her curls then I added coconut oil and gave her two big French braids.

Okay you're all done. I taped her and she got up and walked over to the mirror.

She started making duck faces and posing. This child is too much.

I pulled out my phone and got a video of her and posted it to Instagram.

My followers loved her so she instantly got lots of likes and comments.

Then I went to her room and packed her overnight bag.

After that I got my work stuff and grabbed my keys.

"Are you ready to go?" I asked her.

"No I need momo!" She ran back in her room and came out with her stuff animal.

"Okay are you ready now" I asked

She nodded and we walked out. I locked up the door and we took the elevator down to the parking garage.

Once we got in the car, I pulled off and headed towards Kellie's house.

I plugged up my phone and Beyonce started playing. Avia and I started signing along to pretty hurts.

We alway turn car rides into concerts. She couldn't pronounce a lot of the words but my baby was trying.

5 minutes later we pulled up to Kellie's apartment. I turned off the car and walked around to unbuckle Avia.

"I can do it mommy" Avia waved me off and unbuckled her self

"See" she said smiling extra hard

"Good job baby" I chucked helping her out of the car.

We walked in and started walking up the stairs since she only lived on the second floor.

Avia ran up to the door and started knocking.

Destiny opened the door and smiled.

"Hey Des, I didn't know you would be here." I said as we walked in. Avia took off towards Aiden's room.

"Well all my friends are out with their boyfriends and I'm single as hell so here I am." She sighed

I laughed at how dramatic she was.

"Where your sister" I asked.

"In her room getting ready for her date" she rolled her eyes and took a seat on the couch.

I walked in kellie's room to see her wearing a tight blue dress that came down to her knees. She had black heels on one foot and gold on the other. As soon as she saw me walk in she turned around.
