Chapter 1: What Now?

" Hello?" His voice asked.

" Hey Toyomitsu," I said. " Wanna go get coffee tomorrow?" I asked, and on the other side, I heard a chuckle.

" I'm glad to see you are okay, how was your meeting?" He asked and I smirked.

" Oh you know, it went... I'm pretty sure that I pissed off the commission and I might be getting a phone call from someone... Anyway, you didn't answer my question." I said sitting up and he chuckled again.

" Sure, it would be good to sit down with you and have a real conversation." He told me and I let a wide grin form on my lips.

" Wonderful! I'll be at your agency tomorrow morning for our outing." I said.

" Date. You can say date, Ms. Waterman." He said and I held back giggles, I felt like I was in high school again.

" Alright, well then Mr. Toyomitsu, I'll see you tomorrow morning for our date." I said then hung up on him just as my phone began buzzing when Rue's caller ID showed up on my screen. " Yellow?" I answered my phone and put them on speaker.

" Oh My God! You're alive!" They screamed happily. " Ophelia! Aster! She's alive!"

" Are you at my parents?" I asked them, staring at my phone with wide eyes trying to dig out my more than likely dead laptop.

" I've been at your parents for the past 3 days, Nix." Rue told me and I sighed watching as my laptop came to life

" Is she alright?! Please tell me she is at least alive!" My mother yelled.

" I'm fine mom!" I exclaimed as I logged into my laptop then hung up on Rue before calling them over video call. It didn't take Rue long to pick up, and there was not only my best friend but my parents as well.

" Oh thank god!" My mother exclaimed for a second time today. " What the hell happened?! You were on TV! I watched you get stabbed!" My mother snapped and I watched as my father placed his hand on her back as her green eyes began to glow and the camera shook a bit.

" Your mother has a point, Nixie." He said, I could tell he was holding back, given how distraught my mother was.

" I'm fine, no permanent damage. The kids are okay too." I told them and my mother sighed in relief.

" No, Nix. Show me." My father snapped, snatching the device from Rue, I knew that this was going to happen. Sighing I removed my shirt and my bra then showed him my natural form, he saw the scabbed wounds that littered my chest. " No organ damage?" he asked as he looked over my chest.

" No dad." I said. " I healed those first." I told him.

" 25 I count." He said. " That psycho bitch stabbed you 25 times!" He snapped and I sighed.

" Daddy." I said calmly, making his worried pale blue eyes look up at me as I got myself dressed. " I know, I was there. But it was to protect those kids, they came first." I said calmly.

" I know Lily, but... but I hate knowing that you were hurt by someone 6 years your junior." He said and I gave a small smile.

" Daddy, I'll be okay, take me back to momma and Rue." I said and he nodded and gave the device back to my best friend.

" Okay... I need details! What happened? Why were those two taken?!" Rue asked me and I sighed looking at their light purple eyes I cleared my throat.

" Well... As soon as the sports festival was over I quickly got myself into the league." I began and my parents sat down next to Rue. " The leader is a young hot shot, 21 at most. He is the son of All For One." I began and my father's eyes widened.
