Finding Shelldon? Part 2

 "Ohhh yeah. I built that a while ago, but unfortunately, didn't go well. Why do you still have that?" asks Donnie as he looks up at Raph referring to the broken kiteboard. "To be honest I'm not completely sure. I found it in my room when I was looking for my box of comics that I may have left here." said Raph looking at Donnie. "Ah ok. So is the box of comics the only thing you came back here for?" asks Donnie. "Nope, I also came back here to see if I can find that bag of video games that we lost. I also wanted to see if I could find any of my weights here that are fine." said Raph as he puts the broken kiteboard leaning on the frame door to his room. "You didn't find any weights did you?" asks Donnie. "Unfortunately no." sighed Raph disappointedly. "Good. Did you find any of the other stuff." asks Donnie. "I, unfortunately, didn't find any comics but I did find the bag of video games. I also found a clay sculpture that Mikey made. " said Raph as he looked down at Donnie. "Nice, also which sculpture? Oh also can you bring the broken kiteboard when you come down?" asks Donnie. "Sure and the sculpture seems to be an Ice-cream cat. I think Mikey made it after he went to the pawn shop. Remember when he mentioned that a sculpture of a cat broke when he was trying to get the game hot soup and he wanted to replace it?" asks Raph as he grabs the Kiteboard and starts to make his way back to the ramp he climbed up earlier. "Uhh yeah. He hasn't gone back to replace it yet?" asks Donnie. "Doesn't seem like it but hey I can at least give it to him once we get back." said Raph. "True." said Donnie. "Is that the box dad asked for?" asks Raph as he reached the ramp now. "Yeah. Oh, also I found some old stuff of ours. Im more surprised dad even kept that stuff." said Donnie. "Oh? What did you find?" asks Raph as he makes his way down the ramp. "Well I found your first teddy bear, Leo's first book, Mikey's first pencils and crayons, and my first put-back-together invention." said Donnie. "Oh? Huh that is surprising that dad had that stuff." said Raph as he reached the bottom of the Ramp and walked up to Donnie. "Yeah, it definitely is. Um did you find any traces of where Shelldon would have gone or if he came here?" asks Donnie slightly hopeful. "Sorry I did not I also didn't see anything that could have been a clue to Shelldon." said Raph. "Oh.... Um if it's ok can I just try for a few minutes with the E.S.T. to see if there was anything we could have missed?" asks Donnie. "Yeah, that's fine. We can spend a few more minutes looking." said Raph. "Ok." said Donnie with a slight sigh of relief. Donnie then starts to look around for Shelldon checking his E.S.T from time to time. Raph also looks around for Shelldon in the old lair. After 50 minutes of searching through the lair, they found nothing. They both made it back to the main room and Raph looks at Donnie in concern. Donnie was fiddling with the E.S.T. mumbling to himself not looking at Raph just so focused on the E.S.T. 'We looked for an hour... I know that wasn't as long as the other times but we should head back to the lair or at least put stuff away in the turtle tank. I don't think Donnie even ate breakfast this morning so he probably starving from not eating at all today. Maybe I can convince him to just put stuff away in the turtle tank so he can at least take time to try and take care of himself today once we get back to the lair....As much as looking for Shelldon is important we haven't found Shelldon in months and we come back to this lair so many times.... We can search again later but Donnie does need rest...' thought Raph to himself. Raph then just sighs as he looks at Donnie. "Hey, Donnie... I know we should try and keep looking for Sheldon but it would probably be easier if we put the stuff we have away in the turtle tank." suggest Raph sounding slightly concerned for Donnie. "Huh sorry what you say Raph?" asks Donnie as he looks up briefly at Raph before looking back at the E.S.T. to fiddle with it. "I think we should put the stuff away before we continue looking for Shelldon." said Raph. "Uhh sure you can go do that." said Donnie not fully paying attention just fiddling with the E.S.T. still. Raph just sighs. Donnie was still holding the box and his bag as he continued to fiddle with the E.S.T. 'You know what fine.' thought Raph. Raph then put the Kiteboard to his right hand and arm. Raph then held the broken Kiteboard fine in his arm and hand a decent grip on the kiteboard. Raph then walked up to Donnie and just picks Donnie up with his left hand. "Sorry Donnie but you are not paying attention so I'm taking you back to the turtle tank." said Raph looking at Donnie. Raph then carried Donnie just fine and starts to make his way back to the turtle tank. Donnie continued to mumble to himself as he continued to fiddle with the E.S.T. not noticing Raph had picked him up. After a bit, Raph made it back to the open sewer pipe that they went to get into the sewer system. "Hey Donnie do you think you can get yourself back to the turtle tank now?" asks Raph as he looks at Donnie. "Uh huh." said Donnie, obviously not paying attention. Raph just sighs slightly annoyed by Donnie. 'I could always throw him up the sewer tunnel.... But he could accidentally hit something and get hurt... I wish he was paying more attention right now but it is what it is.' Thought Raph to himself. Raph then proceeds to try and get out of the sewer pipe back. Raph struggles a few times falling back into the pipe but landing fine back into the sewer pipe. Donnie was ok and Raph made sure each time he fell Donnie or the things they had on them didn't get hurt/destroyed. Raph was getting some pain from having to hold Donnie, the stuff, and trying to climb back out of the sewer pipe from his injuries from the krang fight. The pain wasn't really bad right now but he did get some shocks of pain from time to time from the process of healing his shell. It wouldn't heal fully but just heal enough so it wouldn't hurt anymore. Eventually, after a few tries Raph finally made it up the sewer pipe back into the train track area. Raph was sweating a little bit from his failures at climbing up the sewer pipe. "Yes, I finally did it....I knew I could do it. See you guys are worried about nothing... Now when we... get home can you please give.. me .. back my weights...." said Raph out of breath as he looks at Donnie. "Huh oh su- wait how did we get... Raph did you carry me back to the train tracks!" said Donnie not paying attention at first and glancing over at Raph but he then noticed they were no longer in the old lair and he looked around, Donnie then looked at Raph in surprise. "Y-Yeah... Sorry for picking you up, you weren't paying attention." said Raph still out of breath as he puts Donnie down. "Uh, I- Raph you know you shouldn't have done that your still healing. Are you ok?" asks Donnie concerned as he gets put down. "Y-yeah just a bit tired." said Raph still out of breath as he felt small amounts of pain throughout his shell. Donnie put away the E.S.T. "Ok.. Just wait here and I'll move the turtle tank here so you don't have to walk just sit down and rest." said Donnie looking at Raph in concern. "I'm fine, Donnie just a bit tired... Let's just go to the turtle tank. I can walk just fine." said Raph as he catches his breath now and was slowly starting to breath normal as he feels his shell feel like ants moving along it like when your foot falls asleep and is waking up. "I-Ok...Well just let me know if you need help..." said Donnie concerned. "Ok but Donnie I'm fine. You don't need to worry about me." said Raph as he felt uncomfortable from the feeling of the buzzing throughout his shell. "It's a bit hard to not worry about you and Leo...especially after what happened." said Donnie under his own breath. "Huh?" asks Raph confused as he didn't hear Donnnie clearly. "Oh, nothing. Are you good to head back to the turtle tank or are you going to sit down?" asks Donnie. "Let's go back to the turtle Tank." said Raph no longer out of breath but still feeling uncomfortable. "Alright." said Donnie as he started to make his way back to the turtle tank. Raph followed Donnie but was not comfortable and was struggling slightly from the uncomfortable buzzing he felt throughout his shell. Once back to the turtle Tank Donnie open the door to the turtle tank and let Raph go in the turtle tank first. 'I should have paid more attention to Raph... as much as I'm worried about Shelldon Raph is still injured and healing... He is probably tired from everything that has been happing' Thought Donnie as he got into the turtle tank after Raph. Raph sat in his chair and put the bag and kiteboard down on the floor. Raph side in relief but also a bit of pain as the buzzing started to calm down a bit. Donnie closed the door to the turtle tank and made his way back to his seat. Donnie put down the box and his bag. Donnie then saw a ping on the E.S.T in his bag and he blinks. Donnie takes out the E.S.T. in his bag and sees it was pinging a trail. "UHHH...Hey Raph I got a ping." said Donnie surprised but a bit excited and nervous. "Ping?" asks Raph confused. "Yeah... It looks like an energy pathway that was Shelldons.." said Donnie as he sits down in his chair as he pulls up the E.S.T data to the turtle tank. "Oh? That's great Donnie, we should follow it." said Raph looking at Donnie. "Y-yeah we should." said Donnie somewhat excited as he plugs the E.S.T into the turtle tank. Donnie then starts to drive the turtle tank slowly following the energy trail down the train tunnel. Donnie drives the turtle tank for a total of 15 minutes before the trail disappears. "No, No, No, No. I lost the trail... Where could it have gone..." said Donnie worriedly and slightly frustrated as he fiddles with E.S.T. and pushes buttons on the turtle tank. Raph looks around to see where the area around the turtle tank from his seat. He was still slightly uncomfortable but the buzzing had become so much less and was more bearable. The area around the Turtle tank was still the train tracks but it was a dead end so they couldn't go forward. The area to the right and left of the turtle tank was more train tracks going alongside the tracks that the turtle tank was on. The two other tracks looked like they turned to the left and the other to the right into darkness. "I'm going to go see if I can find anything outside." said Raph as he looks at Donnie. "Ok... I'll let you know if I get Shelldon's energy signature again." said Donnie as he continues to try and get Shelldon's signal back. "Alright I'll let you know if I find anything outside." said Raph as he opens the turtle tank's door. "K...stay safe." said Donnie as he continues to try and figure out if he could get the signal back. Raph gets up out of his chair and heads to the open door. "Will do.." said Raph as he gets out of the turtle tank onto the tracks. As Raph steps onto the tracks he hears some wet sludgy sound echo throughout the three train track tunnels. 'Uuuuhhhhh what the heck was that sound?' thought Raph as he looks around. Raph doesn't see anything but the normal train tracks. Raph took out his weapons just in case and started to look around the turtle tank for any signs of Shelldon. As Raph left the area of the turtle tank door he closed it just in case something was out here with him. As Raph explored the area he didn't see anything out of the ordinary till he got to the front of the turtle tank and something small fell from the ceiling a bit away in front of the turtle tank onto the tracks. Raph was surprised by the sudden thing falling that he quickly jumped back to the right side of the turtle tank. Donnie noticed Raph's sudden movement and he stops messing with the E.S.T. and looks to see what spooked Raph a bit. "Everything ok?" asks Don as he spoke into the communicator in his right glove. "Uhhh I think so....Some-" said Raph as he spoke into his communicator in his right glove, Raph cut off as he looked at the thing on the railway and looked up to the Raph of the train tracks. Raph froze as his breathing became sporadic as he looks at the ceiling. "Raph? Hey everything ok?" asks Donnie concerned, noticing Raph cut off what he was going to say. Raph didn't respond to Donnie he just stood there frozen looking up at the ceiling. "Raph?" asks Donnie concerned as he looks at Raph. Raph doesn't respond to Donnie. "Ok I'm coming out there don't move." said Donnie as he left his chair and open the turtle tank door. 'Why isn't Raph saying anything and why did he cut off did he see something?' thought Donnie as he made his way to the turtle tank's door. Donnie hopped out of the turtle tank and pulled out his bow staff. Donnie then made his way to the right side and looked up towards the ceiling where Raph was looking. Donnie stopped in his tracks as he sees what was on the ceiling. Donnie's breathing also becomes sporadic and his grip tightens as he holds his bow staff. Donnie took a step backward in fear as he looked up at the ceiling. Up on the ceiling were Krang vines spread throughout the roof. The eyes on the Krang vines were closed but the Krang vines were moving, breathing. The Krang vines were alive and active but it doesn't seem the Krang vines have noticed Donnie or Raph. Amongst the mess of vines was something that Donnie had feared. In the vines, there were pieces of robotic parts. Donnie knew those parts. Donnie automatically recognized the parts as pieces of Shelldon in the vines in the ceiling. Flashes of memories of Shelldon play through Donnie's mind as Donnie starts to become overwhelmed with emotions. "No...No...No.....No........" said Donnie not wanting to believe Shelldon was gone. Raph shook his head, getting the memories of Krang and when he got taken over by Krang. Raph looked back at Donnie as his own vision was blurred and the voices of the past Krang fight played in his head. Raph then notices by Donnie a going to the ceiling was a ladder leading upward. On the ladder, he notices some pieces of Shelldon on the ladder or below the ladder. Raph quickly goes over to Donnie, keeping quiet and keeping an eye on the Krang vines. Raph made it to Donnie and put one of his weapons away as he gently grabbed Donnie's right shoulder. Donnie gasped in surprise at the sudden touch and almost hit Raph with his staff but stopped. Donnie was close to crying as he looked at Raph. Raph lets go of Donnie and gestures toward the ladder. Donnie notices the parts on the ladder and looks back at the Krang vines. Donnie from what he can tell it wasn't all of Shelldon's parts in the goopy vine. Donnie looks back at Raph and nods. Raph makes his way carefully to the ladder and looks upward. The ladder led up to the surface but had a maintenance hole cover closed. Raph put his other weapon away and carefully started to make his way up the ladder. Donnie wiped away the few tears he had and took a deep breath to try and calm down. Donnie then followed Raph to the ladder quietly and put his bow staff away. Donnie then quietly followed Raph up the ladder keeping an eye on the Krang vines. Raph made it up the ladder to the maintenance hole cover. Raph then carefully picked the maintenance hole cover up a bit and looked to see where they were. Raph noticed that they were on a sidewalk in an empty alleyway. Raph checked to see if it was clear. Raph doesn't see anyone around so he removes the maintenance hole cover and climbs out. Raph then looks around to see if he could find any other trails of where Shelldon went but also kept an eye on the maintenance hole cover hole to make sure Donnie made it out. Donnie climbed out of the maintenance hole cover and put the maintenance hole cover back over the hole. Donnie takes another breath and continues to try and calm himself down but part of him was scared that the Krang vine did actually get Shelldon and that Shelldon was truly gone now. Once Donnie was out and there were no other signs of Krang vines and the voices in Raph's head disappeared. Raph sighs in relief and just calms himself down. "You ok Don?" asks Raph a bit quietly. "Y-yeah..." said Donnie, still a bit shaken up. The area around them was two buildings. The two buildings were apartments and the alleyway they were in was decently small but it did lead to two different sidewalks. There were doors on each of the buildings that lead into the alleyway and there were trash cans in the alleyway. Donnie notices some spilled black liquid on the floor that leads to a puddle next to one of the doors. Donnie followed the trail to the puddle. Donnie then bent down and looked at the liquid, recognizing it to look like oil. In the substance that looked like oil, there were a few Shelldon pieces. Don and Raph hear the door Don is by unlocks. Raph and Donnie quickly climb up the building and hide in the building's shadows. Raph and Don looked towards the door as a man in his mid 20is came out. The man was talking to someone on the phone as he held a bag of trash. The man had a beard and blue and dark brown hair. The man wore jeans and a jacket. The man walked over to the trashcan and put the trash into the trash can. "Yes, I know loose lips Mialski. Ok yes but it's Repo mantis. You know I can't just try and get the turtle-looking robot that was here by my doorstep. You said you didn't know who it belong to." said the man as he closed the trash can. "Turtle robot? Do you think he is talking about Shelldon?" whispered Donnie to Raph. "I don't know but ssshhhh I can barely hear him." whispered Raph back. "I'm sure someone would have come looking for it by now. Do you want me to tell you what it looked like again? Ugh fine it was this small purple and black-looking robot turtle it was broken but Repo said if I gave it to him it settle the debt or something. I don't know if he is a dude in a mantis costume. Like I get the whole keeping with the brand but like seriously. No, I'm not sure. Look it ain't my problem anymore. Yeah, we are still on for D&D tonight. Yeah 8-" said the man as he stood by the trashcan for a bit before he made his way back inside and closed the door. "That sounded like Shelldon... we should check it out." said Donnie. "He said Repo mantis right?" asks Raph. "Yup let's go back to the turtle tank and then make our way to Repo mantis. I swear if he has done anything to Shelldon." said Donnie. "I'm sure he hasn't done anything to Shelldon just be careful when you go back to the turtle tank." said Raph. "Fine." said Don as he and Raph made their way back to the floor. Once back to the floor Don took the maintenance hole cover off and started to make his way back down to the turtle tank. Raph followed Don and they made it back to the turtle tank. Raph checked to see if any Krang vines got inside the turtle tank Donnie checked his chair to see if there were any Krang vines. Raph didn't find any nor did Donnie. Raph then closed the door and sat down.Donnie sat down and quietly drove the turtle tank away as they headed back to the garage back home to get to the surface.After a bit, they made it to the turtle tank garage again and ended up going up the elevator to the second garage that lead to the city's streets. Donnie opened the garage door for the second garage and Raph drove them out onto the city road. Donnie closed the garage door and Raph drove the turtle tank towards Repo mantis's place. Once they get to Repo mantis place Raph parks the Turtle tank in the normal spot they normally park it at Repo mantis place. The E.S.T started to get Shelldon signal again here but it was a lot stronger than the one they followed earlier. Donnie sighed with a slight relief as he noticed Sheldon's signature was there. "Shelldon's signature is here... Uh I just realized did we need to tell the others that we left the train tracks and the lairs?" asks Donnie as he unplugs the E.S.T. "Uhhhh yeah we probably should have but then again Dad probably wouldn't let us go by ourselves since he been more protective recently.... I'm sure it's fine. Not like they went to the second lair anyways." said Raph as he looks at Donnie. "Hopefully... But just in case, let's not mention coming to Repo mantis's place.Agreed?" said Donnie as he held the E.S.T and made sure it was working. "Agreed. So does your Mp3 say where Shelldon could be in Repo mantis's place?" asks Raph. "Uhh sorta... It shows the area where Shelldon is but not exactly where he is. We most likely are going to have to look around." said Donnie as he looked at Raph. "Alright. Hopefully, Repo mantis is out right now so we don't have to deal with all that." said Raph as he gets up off his chair and opens the turtle tank door. Donnie gets up and grabs his bag and moves around the box. Raph picks up his bag and goes around the broken kiteboard. Raph and Donnie then both walk towards the open turtle tank door. Raph then peers his head out of the turtle tank and looks to see if Repo mantis was nearby. Donnie peers out of the turtle tank as well next to Raph looking around. Donnie and Raph didn't see Repo mantis in the salvage/junkyard. "Hmm don't see repo mantis around here do you?" asks Raph quietly. "I don't either. I think we are in the clear." said Donnie quietly. "Alright. So here the plan is we both look for Shelldon and if we can't find him then we will trick Repo mantis into helping us." said Raph as he looks at Donnie. "Sounds like a plan. So where should we start?" asks Donnie as he looks at Raph. "Uhhh around here? Just a quick question. Does your mp3 player thingy pick up Shelldon better once we get closer to him?" asks Raph. "Actually yes it does also again it's called E.S.T." said Donnie. "Right, right anyways let's go look." said Raph as he got out of the turtle tank. Donnie just sighs and gets out of the turtle tank as well. Donnie looked at the E.S.T. and started to walk around the tank to piles of stuff trying to see if he could get a stronger signal for Shelldon. Raph looked around the turtle tank and piles of stuff as well. "Huh lots of things here." said Raph as he held up a golden treasure chest that he picked up in the pile he was looking in. Raph then tossed the treasure chest away and continues to look for Shelldon. "Yeah, there definitely is...OOoooohhh the fuzzy nerd dice I dropped a while back when I and Mikey first met Repo mantis...Ah, focus.....I'm just gonna..." said Donnie as he looked threw the pile picked up the fuzzy nerd dice from the episode Repo mantis that he dropped and stuffed the fuzzy nerd dice into his bag. Donnie then goes back to looking through the pile and checking the E.S.T. Donnie and Raph looked through many piles for an hour finding nothing. "O-ok... Lets just....Give me like 25 minutes...or something.." said Raph as he sat down by the turtle tank tiredly from all that searching. Donnie sat down at the open door to the turtle tank, tired from trying to find Shelldon. "Sounds- like a plan–...I hope... Sheldon ok..." said Donnie as he lays down. "I'm sure he is fine....Hopefully..." said Raph looking at a trash pile ahead of him as his vision started to go a bit blurry. Raph blinks his eye that got injured by Krang to blink away this gray spot taking up his vision in that eye. After a few blinks, the gray spot was gone and he could see better and not as blurry. Raph shell unfortunately was feeling a lot more buzzy again and very uncomfortable. Donnie moves a bit from discomfort as he lay down. "I hope so." said Donnie as he felt pain throughout his shell and through his arms. Donnie's pain activated something in his battle shell and it started to help give proper treatment to Donnie's cracked shell from Krang's battle. Donnie winces in pain as he feels the battle shell helping take care of his shell. Donnie bites his lower lip to stop him from making a sound of pain. Donnie didn't want to move from the pain he felt. 'Hopefully, Raph didn't notice me wincing in pain...Good thing Raph wants to take a break cause I don't think I can keep walking...Right now anyways... And I'm definitely not telling Raph about my cracked shell....He is just getting better and he shouldn't have to worry about me... Plus I rather not end up bedridden like Leo. Although could be nice to just focus on technology....ehhh Pros and cons....Wonder how long I can last hiding it...So far been pretty good at hiding my injuries.... Let's just hope Raph doesn't get up soon.' thought Donnie to himself as he stops biting his lip and just breathes in pain.
