Evening time,
"Saahithiya, is Nikki got ready?" Lalitha asked.
"I will check on her mom". Saahithiya said and went to Nikki's room.
"Nikki..." Saahithiya called her who is staring blankly at the walls.
"Haan Anni..." Nikki replied breaking off from her trance.
"Everything will be alright... relax. It's just a formal meeting". Saahithiya comforted her while patting her arms.
"Hmm Thanks Anni". Nikki said with a small smile.
Ahh... Saahithiya glared at her.
"Sorry sorry... Thanks taken back". Nikki said laughing.
"That's good". Saahithiya said laughing along with her.
Soon the groom's family arrived. After the initial introduction between families, bride and groom were sent alone for a talk.
Pranav was smiling at Nikki who was nervously plucking all the flowers in the plants near which she was standing.
"Nikitha.." Pranav called her.
"Haannn...." Nikki turned startled.
"Aiii relax... Relax. We are here to talk but you are behaving like I'm the kidnapper who have kidnapped you and asking you for money". Pranav said.
Nikki's lips twisted into smile seeing his efforts to calm her down.
"sorry..." Nikki whispered.
"Hmm.... Do you want to ask me about anything??" Pranav asked her.
Nikki nodded a 'no'.
"But I have..." Pranav said making Nikki nervous again .
"Do you like me and this marriage proposal??" Pranav asked looking at her eyes.
Nikki was taken back at his direct question and couldn't meet his glaze.
"I... I... I want to tell you something". Nikki said fidgeting with her Saree end.
"Go on". Pranav said with expressionless face.
"I had a past relationship.." Nikki said in one breath and looked at his face for him to be angry.
A small smile broke off his lips looking at her expecting face.
"Well you yourself said it's a past. My preference is only about present and future Nikitha... I won't like to dig the past and regret about it. And one more thing if you really want to tell me about your past tell me when you feel like telling not like this 'you want to tell because I'm your groom'. Pranav said.
Nikki looked surprised at his words.
"I thought you would like to know about my past relationships".
"Not every people care about their spouse's past... The best example is your Anna and Anni". Pranav said with a genuine smile.
Nikki was impressed with his words and said "your correct".
"It's like you're not comfortable with telling your decision to me... So you can tell it to your dad itself. Can we leave now??" Pranav asked her.
"Aii it's not like that... I... I'm sorry if it hurts you". Nikki said feeling sad for him.
"Aii it's not a problem. I thought you would tell openly to your dad than to a person you're meeting for the first time. Am I correct??" Pranav said.
