Chapter4

Chapter 3 – An unexpected encounter.

"Ah."

Looks like fate likes to play tricks on him. Right after he left the ramen shop, his eyes met Gabriel who was also walking with shopping bags in both hands. Looks like the girl just finished shopping.

"It's not what you think," Naruto said.

"Then what are you doing there, if not to eat?" Gabriel replied in a searching tone.

Naruto, who didn't want to argue with the girl in front of him for too long, immediately walked closer to her and took the girl's groceries from her hands. Naruto's action made the girl blink before speaking.

"You don't need to help me carry them. At least I'm strong enough to carry them myself," he said slowly.

Even though he knew that the girl in front of him was more than strong enough to carry the groceries, he chose to do it anyway, at least it was better than arguing with her.

"I'm not worried about that, it's just that you'll look cuter if you accept my help."

"That sounds like I'm just not cute."

"At least with me, you're fierce. Very different from the Gabriel that I usually see."

The girl was probably aware of her attitude towards the young man. He froze where he stood now. Everyone will agree that Gabriel is very kind, friendly, and also humble. After all, this girl in front of him was an angel.

To be precise, even though this girl treated him very well, she had always been blunt towards him. He never behaved politely and always spoke his heart openly.

But for him, it was much better than lying, after all, he could tell when someone was lying to him. When the girl was still frozen where she stood, Naruto immediately rushed to walk first, leaving the girl alone.

It seemed that the girl realized and immediately rushed after Naruto. His footsteps sounded rushed. Naruto didn't intend to slow down his footsteps, he didn't want to walk side by side with the girl and make the situation even more complicated if someone saw them.

So Naruto pretended to walk ahead and Gabriel followed behind him.

"Thank you."

He could hear the girl whispering from behind him.

Ever since he arrived in this world, he had become a hard worker. He was even more akin to a pet dog than a human. He even forgot how to set the pattern of his life. The apartment that became his residence was only a temporary stopover before he left to resume his work.

So he never once did the housework. He is very good at cooking if the context we are talking about here is cooking ramen. He is also very good at washing clothes, all he has to do is bring the dirty clothes to the laundry shop on the ground floor of his apartment.

However, if it is a matter of cleaning it is lazy to do it. What was he cleaning this place for anyway if he was rarely here?

' This place looks like a dump.'

Even Kurama agreed with Gabriel's words about how dirty this place was. Naruto knew this was his fault for being too lazy. But he never thought it would get this dirty.

For now, he thought of cleaning up this place first, he didn't want to be lectured by that girl anymore. He then made simple hand seals to create clones to help him clean up.

*POOF*

Right after his bunshin appeared, he was startled by the sound of his apartment's doorbell. He then immediately rushed to remove his bunshin because he felt an angelic aura from the front and ran towards the entrance.
