"No!" she firmly said.

"Pardon?" her father asked, stunned by her sudden outburst.

"No, Dad. I say no to your request. Besides, Ate Imee and Kuya are already following in your political footsteps. Please spare me from this, Dad," she pleaded.

"No. And who told you that I am requesting?" Her father fired back. "I am commanding you, Callista Irene."

Her father then handed her a brown envelope.
"Submit your COC for San Rafael's Mayor tomorrow," the old man said with authority. "Alam kong alam mo na pinakaaayaw ko ang mga taong sumusuway sa akin, Irene. And you know the consequences," Macoy said, his black aura piercing her youngest daughter's eyes.

Macoy only nodded and left her daughter's room.

Callista Irene Miravuena grew up in a politically exposed family. Her father became their town's Mayor when she was only a year old, and since then, the idea of "serving our country" was instilled in her. Both her siblings are now in positions in the Senate, but Irene enjoys being the fly on the wall. She values her privacy and enjoys her life without all the publicity.

She stared at the brown envelope her father had handed her a while ago.

"Isang term lang. Madali lang ito," she said, then began filling out her information.

"I thought the deal with Mr. Kang was closed. I even signed the papers for that project."
