This commissioned story features an original character immersed in the shinobi world of Konoha. From the image above you can see what she looks like as imagined by the girl who commissioned me this story, and brought to life by the wonderful work of Dante2305 whom I recommend you follow on Deviantart. If you have interesting ideas for a fanfiction, please feel free to write me privately.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank someone very special to me who not only supports my work, giving me the desire to continue writing, but also creating the beautiful covers for my stories. Thank you very much C.L. my friend and muse.

Ch 1

- Erika hurry up or you will be late for the ninja academy! -

My mother Akire's shrill voice echoed through our small house and I was seized with panic as soon as I looked at the small watch on my wrist that was the only thing my father left me, he had perished during the fourth ninja war that had shaken our whole world and had fortunately ended successfully thanks to the current seventh Hokage, the great Naruto Uzumaki.

"Damn it, not again !" I cursed as I finished dressing as fast as I could and as soon as I slipped my sandals on my feet, I opened the window and jumped out without even saying goodbye to my mother.

I began to run as if I had an enemy shinobi at my back, but I couldn't help it; I had already been late three times that week and sensei would not forgive me again. I had no intention of ending up in detention and being laughed at by the other students, my life at the academy was already complicated and a humiliating punishment would make everything more difficult. During my wild run I almost ran over a little boy who had escaped the grasp of the grandmother who was carrying him around the stores along the main street of the village, but fortunately I had good reflexes and I managed to avoid him at the last moment, which did not prevent me from a scolding from the elderly woman who yelled at me to be more careful and not to run like that...and many other words that I was not able to hear because I was already far away, still running toward the academy.

- That's absolutely not okay Erika, it's the fourth time this week-

I was still bent over trying to catch my breath and I didn't have the courage to look Shino sensei in the eyes, or rather, in that metal thing that kept his eyes and part of his face hidden. I could hear my companions giggling and a mixture of shame and anger hit me in the chest, almost like the jutsu of a powerful enemy.

- We will decide your punishment later, for now guys do a short warm-up and there will be an obstacle race soon. The top three finishers will get a voucher as a reward to be used for ramen or hambur... -

- Hamburger yessss - Boruto exclaimed full of joy, interrupting our sensei - Sorry guys but that prize will be mine -

- So it's a luck that the second place will also get the prize then - Sarada intervened and I couldn't help but turn to the last descendant of the Uchiha clan who was looking amused at the son of the seventh Hokage, ready to reply.

- Calm down you all, and let me finish talking - Shino sensei said, continuing his speech - Just as the first three finishers will have a prize, the last one to the finish line will have a penalty, which will be...hmm, yes, thirty laps around the field and a thousand push-ups -

A wave of complaints rose from the students but I knew all too well that sensei would never change his mind and I was already trembling at the thought of suffering such a harsh penalty. I was quite notorious for making disasters during training and I was certainly not one of the best in the class, and how could I when among us were the son of the seventh hogake, a kind of Goddess with a sharingan, and several other boys whose parents were among the strongest shinobi in the village ? I was nobody compared to them; I was just a girl orphaned by my father and with a mother who had never passed the ninja academy. So many times I had wondered if I, too, would end up like her, if I, too, would end up cleaning at other, richer and more important people's houses, but I had always worked hard to change my fate and be better than my mother. But it wasn't easy, it wasn't easy at all.
