Jelly Tots

I must have overslept, because now I'm in the shower with ten minutes to go before six. I quickly washed, and threw on a football jersey that reached to my mid thighs along with black washed out jeans paired with converses. I combed my hair and made it look less like I was sleeping in a giants mouth. Then I ran down the stairs and straight into the car in which my parents were waiting for me. After a comfortably silent journey, we arrived at Josh's house or mansion if you prefer, I was always awestruck when I came to Josh's house because although our houses were the same size, something about Josh's house was always homely and welcoming. Don't tell him I said that.

After entering his house, I was immediately grabbed around my leg. When I look down to see who it was, I saw Maddie beaming at me, she's so cute! I hugged her and spun her around, she squealed and after I placed her down her small voice greeted me.

"Lauraaa!"

"Monsterrr!" Monster was the pet name I gave Maddie because she was kinda like my cute little adorable monster and kinda reminded me of Boo from Monsters inc. when she was smaller. Before Maddie could say anything, she was whipped up by Josh who had just entered the house and then snatched away by Alex. Maddie laughed as she was taken from me to Josh to Alex. I took that moment to greet Josh's parents and stood next to my parents as Mr and Mrs Davern invited Alex to join us for dinner. He kindly refused saying that it was his second night back in town so him and his parents were going out to eat. Thereafter, Mr and Mrs Davern or what they prefer I call them, Cheryl and David told us to go do what ever we want. Maddie lead me up to the games room where we usually went and Josh trailed after.

A while later, Josh set up the xBox after having a shower and Maddie went to go get her colouring. I sat down on the bean bag sofa type thingy with Maddie beside me on the carpet and Josh on the other side of the bean bag sofa type thingy. Before we started the game Josh went over to the mini fridge and grabbed some Jelly Tots. Maddie and I asked for some to, but he said that it was the last packet and straight away I ran over to him jumping in the air and tackling him onto the carpeted floor. He said some colourful language and realised what I wanted so he extended the hand with the sweets in so I couldn't reach it. By this time Maddie had realise what I was up to and joined in. Moments later we all had our hands on the last packet and were pulling it. Eventually, the packet tore and spilled all the sugary contents over Josh's face because he was holding it over his head. We all lay there shocked for a while. Then Maddie stood up from on top of me and I stood up from on top of Josh and Josh stood from on top of the floor emptying all the sugar and sweets off his face and onto the carpet. I put my hands in my jeans pockets and felt something in both pockets, that when I realised I'd put two packets of Jelly Tots in my pockets before coming just incase Josh and I were fighting and I wanted Maddie on my side.

"Don't worry, I won't kill you in front of Maddie." Josh said when he saw the expression on my face. I smiled sheepishly and took out the packets from my jeans and showed them to Josh.

"What the-"

"Yey! Can I have some?" Maddie said interrupting Josh and giving me puppy dog eyes and pouting her bottom lip. I gave her a packet and figured I should share mine with Josh since we spilt the other one all over him.

"We can share share." I said looking down at the packet in my hands. Josh smiled, but it disappeared straight away.

"Yeah, you do owe me." I rolled my eyes an ignored his cocky comment. Then sat down and took my place. After sitting down, I glanced over to the mess we made, but when Josh saw he just waved his hand dismissively.

Fifty minutes later, I'd won Josh twice on Tekan and he'd won once, which made me the winner. YEY!

After the night was over, we went home, it was actually early - 7:03. However I was glad because while eating I got a text saying that there's a race tonight, just for fun and there was no need to sign up so it was okay for me to just stroll in if I wanted. The race was at 7:55 so after I got home, I excised myself and ran up to my room. I changed into my usual racing attire which was a top, a black leather jacket, converses slightly messy hair and I decided to keep the same jeans. Then I locked my room door and yelled for no disturbances and said that I was sleeping early. I know my parents may have let me go out if I made a good excuse, but I really wasn't in the mood for explanations. Plus it's okay if I sleep late today because tomorrow is Saturday. After making sure that the lights were off and nothing was suspicious, I climbed out of my second floor window, thank god I survived.
