"Why do you think the holiday tree produces stuff?" Willow asked. "I mean, it shouldn't be producing anything if one thinks about it, as there is no source for the holiday tree to draw from and the presents come out of nowhere."
"Duh. Santa." Hoops rolled her eyes as if the answer made sense.
"But Santa doesn't exist."
"I'd say the trees actually prove Santa does exist," Hoops said. "But do you really think...." And then she paused, looking at the tree the giant bugs had destroyed. "What the?"
"If this is an argument about him really caring and that being proof he exists, then why doesn't he help us return to our real size."
"Because that's not how his magic works," Hoops said. "This is—or was, the way this magic works. Looks like we've got to get us a new tree."
"Obviously."
