My slightly buzzed body inhibits me from walking straightly. I'm stumbling down the beach to the bathroom.
After a hot make out session that was interrupted by the sirens, I'm definitely not in the clearest state of mind.
I don't think I'm that drunk—at least not on alcohol—I only remember drinking a few beers. If I'm drunk, it's on kisses. I was kissed senseless.
The sirens are getting closer, blaring in my ears now. I can see the red and blue lights flashing up near the pier.
Weird, but I need to pee. Bad. Really bad. I stumble my way to the bathroom, pushing past crowds of drunk and sober people alike. I'm not surprised we were busted, a fight easily could have got out of hand.
I swing open the back entrance of the public bathroom, yawning as I do so.
The stink is what hits me first. A metallic twang fills my mouth, along with the smell of... rotting, almost. Next, I hear the whispers.
"Anyone here?" I ask into the dark bathroom.
I hear the whispers stop as I feel around for the light switch. I manage to find it and flick it on. I hear a scream, and I think it comes from me.
The two girls lay face down into sinks filled with blood. They're slumped against said sinks, blood matted into their hair. I can't tell what color their hairs are, but their attire tells me who exactly I've found.
Three or four police stand there, just staring at me in their blue uniforms. One of their walkie talkies go off, but none of them reach for it.
Next to each of the girls is a rose, sitting neat and pretty in their blood. I gag. On the mirror is a clear message. I think it's from blood. Real blood. 'Don't mess around,' it says. My heart catches in my throat. What the fuck?
🔪🥀🗡️
This is a new kind of story for me that I'm very excited to write. The rest should come by the end of the summer, not making any promises. I want to write the whole story before publishing it. This is just a sample. How did you like it? Should I continue?
