It was the next day and I wanted to go swimming with Ao'nung, I was even more sore today but maybe getting some swimming in would help relax my muscles and my mind
I went to leave the pod when Neteyam stopped me
"Y/n sit you need to eat so you can heal" he said patting the spot next to him
I sat down and the whole family was giving me pity
"I'll be okay guys don't worry" I said as I popped a piece of fruit in my mouth
"We thought you would be okay when you went out yesterday and this happened, you aren't allowed to go out alone again" mother said
"What no, please let me go, I'll stay with Ao'nung I promise" I pleaded
"Fine but Neteyam will walk with you to Ao'nung and Ao'nung must walk you back home understood"
"Yes I understand mom"
"Come on sis let's go" Neteyam said as he helped me stand
We walked to the beach and as always it was a warm sunny day
"Sooooo you and Ao'nung huh" he said making me blush
"I mean I don't know he makes me feel happy and.....we kissed" I told him because I trusted him with everything
"NO WAY, MY BABY SIS KISSED SOMEONE" he yelled excited for me
"Neteyam stop you're embarrassing me" i said covering my face
"I'm sorry I'm just happy for you, but if he hurts you in anyway you come to me and I'll rough him up" he said laughing as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders
"He wouldn't hurt me, I trust him" I said as I saw Ao'nung down the beach talking to Rotxo
"I like Ao'nung he seems good for you, I know how depressed you get sometimes, but if he makes you feel happy then I approve"
"Thank you big bro, but no I'm will replace you, you're my number one hero" I partially smiled, it was hard with my busted lip
"Love you sis, now go have fun" he said as he gently hugged me then left to do whatever he wanted
I walked towards Ao'nung and Rotxo, when I got stopped by the same member that started the fight
"Wohoho if it isn't the freak of the island" he said as he pushed me back
"You were told to leave me alone" I glared
"Your brother doesn't scare me"
"But I should scare you" I heard Ao'nung who was standing behind him
I saw the fear on his face making me smirk
Ao'nung walked up to me and placed his hands on my shoulders, leaning down to look at me
"Are you okay?" He asked dropping his mean demeanour
"I'm okay thank you"
"So Nantun, you're the one who did this to her?" Ao'nung glared, it was strange for me to see this side of him, I always saw the sweet side but I liked this protective side
"Hey she's the hideous freak, she basically brought it on herself"
The words hurt but I remembered what Ao'nung said and it helped me get over it
"You know our rules on violence against our own, I will have to tell mother and father about this"
"What no can't we just forget about this" he said scared
"Not this time Nantun" he said as he grabbed Nantuns arm and started walking to the leaders pod, Ao'nungs home
"Come on!" Ao'nung shouted over his shoulder
I quickly caught up to them and then we were infront of Ronal and Tonowari
"Why do you bring these two here Ao'nung?" Ronal asked
"Nantun has broken our rule of no violence, he verbally and physically violated y/n" he said making both leaders look at me
"Nantun is this true" Tonowari asked
"Fine yes I did it but they don't belong here"
"They are part of our tribe now, for you actions you are banned from going in the water for 1 month"
That didn't seem like that big of a punishment but from the look on Nantun's face it must be to them
"You can go" Tonowari dismissed him
"Come, I will check on you" Ronal said waving me forward
I looked at Ao'nung nervous but I followed her
I was awkward as she checked on me, I was going behind her back with Ao'nung, I felt bad but I couldn't help want to be near him
Ao'nung and Tonowari were sat with us
"Will she be alright?" Ao'nung asked
"Why do you care son, I told you not to befriend the sullys" she stated
I looked up at Ao'nung and his ears were down and Tonowari had an upset look on his face
"Ronal he can be friends with her, she has done nothing wrong, if we judge them we are as bad as Nantun" Tonowari stated
But Ronal looked angry
"Ao'nung will not be with her, if they are to be one she will become the next wife of this clan to Ao'nung and a forest Navi is not suited for this"
"But mother, she is my soulmate I know it, you can't keep me from her" Ao'nung pleaded, his words shocked me
"You know nothing of this"
"I do, ever since I saw her I knew she was destined to be mine and I don't care what you say I will be with her"
Ao'nung took my hand and brought me out of the pod and instead of going to the beach he brought me deeper into the island where the trees covered
"Ao'nung slow down I'm still sore"
He turned around and he was crying
