Hey, so this is not my first story but it is the first story I have written on Wattpad, so I'm sorry if I have a bit of trouble posting it. Anyway, I wrote some of this last year in the dentist's office (LOL!) and some this year. I'm sorry, I have a lot of description, and not much dialouge. I like description much better than dialouge. Hopefully, I can put some more dialouge in the next chapter. Enjoy, and please comment!

There sat a pear, more golden than a crown. It shimmered with a strong kind of magic, and began to glow. Peter extended his hand and ran it against the smooth wooden table. His fingers creeped toward the pear. Its irresistable scent tantalized his nose. He couldn't resist any longer. His fingers snatched up the pear.

A sudden shock went through his body, and he felt like he was on fire. He dropped the pear, but seconds after it began to draw him in again. This time he knew he shouln't be reaching for it but he couldn't help himslef. Just as he was about to touch it again a voice shot through the air.

"Stop!" The voice came sharply from the shadows. A young girl, about 12 or so, stepped out from the darkened corner. "Don't you dare touch that! It's charmed. If you hold it for too long then the magic will seep into your viens, making you its slave." The girl's wild violet eyes locked with his and Peter felt a rush of understanding wash over him, and flow into his viens. He knew that she was right, but even so, the pear's magic called out to him. He fought back, determined not to pick it up again. He knew it would be a matter of seconds before he could no longer resist and so he turned away sharply, the girl close on his heels. He walked briskly through the door and burst into the sunlight. His golden hair blew in the slight breeze.

He looked at the girl sitting next to him, as she began to speak. "Who are you?" she asked.

"Peter. Who are you?"

"Hazel," her gaze bore into him and he realized he had never met seen anyone so intense. It felt like the girl, Hazel, was seeping into his skin.

"Hazel," repeated Peter, staring with wonder at her shoulder length black hair as it gleamed in the sunlight.

"But what are you?" The boy asked.

"What am I?" Hazel stood up, her eyes blazing. She looked at Peter, and reached her fingertips toward him. He could almost imagine magic was flowing out of them. Before he could say a thing a blast of wind hit him in the face, knocking him down. Hazel put down her hands. "I'm a witch."

So, that's my first chapter. It's really short, I'm sorry. It don't get into the adventure yet, and the next chapter is still kind of introductory, but hopefully the adventure and action will start soon. Thank you for reading!
