He turned around and he was crying
"Oh Ao'nung......please don't cry it'll be okay, come here" I said as I pulled him into a hug
He cried into my shoulder, I felt his tears drop onto my skin, I just held him and rubbed his back trying to sooth him
After a while he calmed down and pulled back as he held my waist
"I'm sorry you had to see all of that, I don't usually like to be emotional in front of others"
"Ao'nung you don't need to apologize I understand and like I told you I'm always here for you"
"She just makes me so mad, I don't understand why she's like that, she never wants me to be happy at least that's what it feels like, father tries to stand by my side but she doesn't listen" he ranted but I didn't care I just hated seeing him like this
"But she's seen Lo'ak and Tsireya together and she never says anything, what's the difference than us being together?"
"Because Tsireya won't become the next clan leader, I will, but still she should be happy I've found such a kind and beautiful mate" he said making the butterflies in my belly explode
"I don't want this to sound disrespectful but.....this is our lives and she can't keep us apart, I want to be with you Ao'nung nothings going to stop that" I smiled at him feeling so vulnerable
"I see you y/n"
"I see you too"
He pulled me into a sweet kiss making me feel so special and like he'd always be by my side
"I don't want to go back we are just going to fight again" he said as he pulled back
"Maybe you can stay at my place, I can ask my parents I'm sure we can make some room!"
"Are you sure?" he seemed nervous
"Of course! Come on let's go ask and then after we can just relax, I'd say we could swim but I still hurt like all over"
I grabbed his hand and we walked back to my pod were mom dad and Neteyam were, the rest were probably out swimming
"Mom, Dad could Ao'nung stay with us tonight, things happened and he doesn't want to go home, just for tonight please" I looked at Neteyam so he could help
"It would be nice to get to know him more!" Neteyam said smiling
"Okay, he can stay for the night, welcome Ao'nung" dad said
I ran up to him and gave him a hug
"Thanks dad this means a lot" I smiled up at him
"Of course sweetie, but me and mom have to go, it's our date night so you and Neteyam need to take care of the kids for the night okay"
"Okay we will, have fun!"
They left and it was just me, Neteyam and Ao'nung
"Thank you Neteyam" I said as I sat next to him and Ao'nung sat in front of us
"Anything to make my little sis happy" he said as he side hugged me
"Sooooo when you left today that guy came back, thankfully Ao'nung caught him and got him in trouble" I said
"Did he hurt you more?" Neteyam asked concerned
"No I'm okay, Ao'nung saved me in time"
"I appreciate you for that" Neteyam said to Ao'nung
"No problem man, she means everything to me, I wasn't going to let that skxawng hurt her again"
"I still can't believe he did this to you, is your tail feeling any better at least?" Neteyam asked as he traced my tail making me wince
"It still hurts a lot which sucks, I didn't realize how much I sway my tail until now, every time I do it hurts"
"Hopefully it heals soon! But anyways mom and dad already got the food prepared for us all so once Kiri, Tuk and Lo'ak come back we can eat then go to bed, where are you and Ao'nung going to sleep?" Neteyam asked
"We can probably sleep in mom and dads spot they won't mind right?"
"They'd be fine with it!"
