Everything Has Changed

Chapter 1

"So, how's New York?"

We're in a private restaurant of my parents, dito kami dumeretso after sa airport. We're currently eating our dessert now.

"It was really good, Mom. I enjoyed it there with Raze, " I answered.

"Talaga pong na enjoy 'yan ni Remi, ako ba naman kasama niya, syempre hindi na siya lugi dahil ako na 'to!" Biro na naman ni Raze kaya nag tawanan silang lahat.

"I'm glad that you both enjoyed it there," Dad said with hesitation in his voice. "Uhm... Hindi ka naman nagkasakit doon, ano? No fever? No headaches?"

Napakunot pa ang noo ko bago sumagot. "Yes, Dad. I was okay there, no fever but... I did have headaches because I was kind of stress... That's it."

Sabay sabay silang tumango lahat habang kumakain ng desserts. I looked at Raze when I noticed he was staring at me, he smiled and kissed my cheeks.

"Haha... Pasalubong ko nga pala?" Tanong ni Kira habang nakalahad ang kamay sa akin.

"Akin din hehe," singit ni Clea.

"Wala man lang kayong tinirang hiya diyan sa katawan niyo!" Sabat ni Mark. That's when I heard my phone beeped, I checked the notification and read the message.

From: Mark
Pasalubong ko mamaya, ah? Thanks, sis love lots!

I looked at Mark and saw him winked at me. Natatawang kinuha ko yung mga paper bags at isa-isa kong binigay sa kanila ang pasalubong nila.

"This one is for you, Vana... And this..." Kinuha ko si Ice Bear at pinakita sa kanila. "Who wants Ice Bear?" I asked.

All of them looked at my hand, holding Ice Bear. Palipat-lipat ang tingin nila sa kamay ko at sa akin, I sighed.

"I knew it. None of you were into We Bare Bears," I said and put Ice Bear back in paper bag. "I'll just keep him."

"Oo, itago mo na lang 'yan! Sayang naman, ikaw na lang gumamit," sabi ni Clea.

I just nodded my head. I suddenly remember that random woman earlier at the airport. After I asked her who she is, she just shook her head and said 'wrong person', and thet she left. Weird.

After we talked and eat, Mom said we should all go home and rest and just continue the chit chat tomorrow. Raze and I decided to sleep in his condo muna, bukas na daw ako umuwi sa condo ko.

"Tired?" He asked while we're fixing our things.

"Kind of," I said while drying my hair.

"So... You bought Pikachu with Ice Bear pala, I didn't notice that noong nasa condo tayo," he said.

"Yep, it's so cute kasi, don't you think? Gusto mo sa'yo na?"

"Huwag na, sa'yo na 'yan. Besides, I'm too old for that," sabi niya.

"Right... Matanda ka na," sabi ko habang umiiling.

"Parang hindi ka rin naman matanda," sabi niya habang natatawa.

"Well... I'm old by age but I'm young by face." I said confidently.

"Itulog mo na lang 'yan."

Kinabukasan, maaga din kaming umalis sa condo para ayusin ang mga applications namin for our summer of practical training for mechanical engineering. Vana texted me na magkita daw kaming lahat sa mall after namin asikasuhin ang applications namin ni Raze.
