It is no stranger that human beings cause chaos and destruction. But all of that was still very difficult for me to deal with. This destruction, before my world was fine. But suddenly greed made me have to defend myself.
"Raven, are you okay?"
I turned my head, looking at a mature woman sitting right next to me. Her name was May. It was the 23-year-old woman who accompanied and took good care of me.
"It's okay, May. I-I just..."
I was too scared. "I understand that you're scared, but we have no other choice." That answer frustrated me even more. I couldn't afford to do it alone.
"What's the matter? Another nightmare?" Jan, May's 24-year-old brother, walked into my room and folded his arms while leaning against the doorway. "No, she hasn't slept at all." May replied. Jan showed an annoyed look on his face.
"I knew it, Raven is not ready to fight. She had no idea about this war at all. I'll talk to Dad again!" He just left, May was about to prevent him, but nothing could deter Jan.
I cried profusely. I didn't expect my life to be peaceful and ended up putting my life on the line. I was really scared.
"May..." I hugged my older sister's figure, showing her how much my fear of death and pain was. The thing I encountered the least, but became the one I would face.
"Calm down, Raven. Hopefully, my Dad listens to Jan this time."
