Critical low battery!
The bold, red words flash across Centy's screen as she impatiently taps her pen on the wooden desk.
She bites the inside of her cheek before plopping down into her arms and releasing a huge sigh.
"What got you all worked up like that?"
Centy's ears perked up to the voice of her dearest best friend, Mary.
Centy lands her chin on her hand as Mary carefully places the two hot mugs on the desk. She watches as the steam rises from the liquid and being blown into the distance by the mini fan.
"I literally got no sleep at all last night. Steve's telling me to finish 3 projects at the same time while asking me- no- forcing me to start an entire new piece, like oh my god!"
Centy creates a gesture with her hands as if she's strangling something or someone.
"I really regret studying to become an astronomer"
Mary chuckles.
"Why don't we go somewhere, you and me?"

There was a minute of silence as the two just stare at each other.
"Yeah I'm sorry Mary but if I don't get this project done, Steve will absolutely murder me."

"Oh my god, calm down! He's my brother, I'll ask him for an extension for you."
"Really? Could you do that?" Centy faces Mary with her entire body, showing obvious signs of happiness.
Mary nods.
"Come on, I wanna see the Northern lights before it gets really dark."
Mary grabs Centy by the arm, while Centy snatches her cardigan on the chair just in time before being pulled.
As they both exit through the door, they were hit with the cold, lonely breeze, making them both shiver slightly.
"It's colder than I expected." Mary makes a remark.
Passing through the many trees, the two came across a lazy hill, and as they climbed the hill they were shocked to be faced with a heavenly view of the sky.
"Oh my gosh..." Centy's jaw is left agape. "Mary are you seeing this?"
Mary couldn't speak but stand in silence as she took in every detail of one of the famous wonders of God's creation.
The aurora lights could be seen in both of the two's reflection in their eyes. Swirls of greens and blues as well as a vibrant purple and a splash of white.
The two stood in silence, the loudest sound occurring between them was their gasps now and then.
"Did you know the Northern Lights are 30,000 years old?" Centy breaks the silence.
"Well, definitely doesn't look it." Mary giggles.
