Albie Forbes, maybe she's the most perfect girl i have ever seen. She got the aura that attracts people, resonates with them or maybe charms them too.
She's way out of my league. That's the only thing that came to my mind. She's already everyone's favourite and I'm just someone who's joining late. But maybe if there's just a little chance, a little hope..i want to grab it.
But the next day, it became pretty clear that maybe our worlds will never collide.
Joining late means only thing, that is you won't be accepted right away and that too not by everyone. And it seems like she already have a group and a boy she always talks to.
It took me a few days to adjust and right now my friend circle isn't made up of brilliant minds but cheerful little rascals. This is the only group that accepted me.
But maybe the problem lies in me. Even though I thought to be more active and enjoy this college life, I'm the same old boy from back then, who didn't talk much. Who's humour ain't that great and who's somewhat not interested in the real world.
The only thing that I have done since joining college in these few days is to catch up to the syllabus. I never gave second thoughts to this crush of mine. Afterall reality can often be cruel. And in my case it's clear to me that she and I can't be more than friends, maybe being friends with her will be fortunate enough for me. Afterall she's to me is the most beautiful dream that I can ever have.
Well, college life is pretty fun, I only have to deal with 4 subjects a semester. And I heard that the sports festival in this college is pretty insane too. As for the professors, I can say that they are just average.
"Dave, can you answer this question?"
"Yes sir."
It's been nearly a week. A few professors actually remember my name and call out to me sometimes during lectures but I'm just a no name when it comes to students in my class. Just a face among a number of faces.
"Good job, it's correct."
"Thanks professor."
Good thing is that I'm fairly good at studies. Maybe if I keep it up I can get a good rank by the end of the year.
"Are you coming to the cafeteria?"
"What's the point of being here if it's recess now so Yeah let's go."
The one who asked me this stupid question is my friend Drake Carter. He's lacking a little in the brain department but he was the first one to talk to me and now it feels like we can be best buds. I am a quite type and he's overly enthusiastic. I won't talk and he won't stop talking, a perfect match for friendship.
"What do you wanna eat Dave?"
"Just get me something that can fill my stomach."
"Okiee, the same old answer from your side, nice i got it."
"Drake, come fast, nobody is sitting there.."
"Yeah, you go. Let me take the order."
I still sometimes can't believe how the hell he's able to befriend the whole class? He's just a monster when it comes to communication.
"So..i have a question and answer it honestly, okay Dave?"
What question does he have now? From the way he's grinning this whole time, I can guess it's something bad.
"Albie Forbes, you got a crush on her, right?"
What the f ... how does he know that. I thought he was just a crackhead who's only good when it comes to enjoying life.
