trigger warnings : slight homophobia, talking about panic and alcoholism.
———The feeling of cold air hit your face, making you slightly shiver but also smile. Winter was announcing itself with it's breath. You closed the front door again, walking inside your flat, to get your coat. You loved the fabric on your skin, it made you feel loved.
And when you set your eyes on the clock, you noticed that you're almost late. Blaming yourself in your head, looking in the mirror and putting your shoes on, all at the same time.
You had your first appointment with Dr. Lilith Ritter today and you wouldn't want to be late. Society nowadays expects you to be always 5 minutes early. And if you were honest, you didn't like society. Being late is what makes you human, the way you look makes you human and the way you act, cry, laugh, smile, sleep, eat and mourn makes you more human than anyone wants to believe. A smile mistake is what makes us all just humans.
And while you were walking on the street, admiring every single women you have seen, you sighed. You didn't sigh because you were jealous of their beauty. You sighed because you felt things for women, things that society tells us is wrong. Yet, you are just human. And society, they are just some white old men who like taking control over women.
And before you could share another thought, you were in front of the building. You smiled slightly, hoping it was worth all those years of saving up money.
As you were walking inside, you were greeted by the smell of vanilla, the warm air and the nice looking receptionist. You smiled at her, slowly taking of your scarf and coat. Once you were done, you walked over to the lady. „Good afternoon, miss. How can I help you?" her voice was smooth as she was talking to you. „Good afternoon, I have an appointment with Dr. Lilith Ritter at 6:30, where could I wait?"
she looked down at her calendar, then looked at me. „You must be Ms. Y/n Y/l/n. Come with me, I'll show you to the waiting room."She guided you to the stairs, telling you that the elevator didn't work at the moment. You nodded, following her up the stairs. You were greeted by a hallway full of rooms, which you assumed where all the psychiatrists offices.
Suddenly the women started talking again, „This is Dr. Ritters waiting room, it's directly linked with her office. Just go in, make yourself at home. I'll call her to let her know that you're here." and before you could respond, she was already out of your sight.
You walked through the door, sitting down on one of the chairs, looking around. It looked all very calming. It was already getting dark outside, through the fact that it was almost winter. You smiled, looking out the window.
Suddenly a door opened, making you jump a little. „Ms, Y/l/n?" a voice said. You assumed it was Dr. Ritter. The voice was quite deep. The accent makes your cheeks turn a darker shade of pink. You turned your head in the direction of the woman, the woman who you now needed to deeply trust with your life. Beautiful blonde hair, dark red lips, smooth skin. Her smile pulled you into a trance, you were completely taken aback.
„Are you okey, miss?" her voice suddenly pulled you back, she was now in front of you, squatting down, looking at you and trying to figure out what made you look so lost.
You blinked a few times, now looking into her eyes. „My, I'm deeply sorry, I was just daydreaming right before you came. It happens sometimes." you apologized. She only gave you a heartwarming look before standing up again, „That's alright, honey." she took one of your hands and pulled you up. „Now, we don't wanna be late for our first meeting, do we?" she asked you with a very seductive tone. You only nodded in respond, not wanting to embarrass yourself any further.
