A few days had passed since everything went down and the school was no longer buzzing with the drama of the incident. After dance class Jisung asked Jun if she could stay back for a moment for him to talk to her. She reluctantly agreed to listen only briefly. "I just wanted to say I am so sorry for how I treated you the other day. My actions were dishonest and hurtful. I do want to say though that when I asked you out, I did not know you had real feelings for me. I sincerely ask for your forgiveness for my stupidity. I was just planning to casually date in a dumb attempt to gain more clout. Which I didn't think was necessarily wrong at the time because I thought you agreed to go out with me just for fun too. I hope that you don't hate me and believe me when I say that I wouldn't purposely set out to hurt you. I just simply wasn't thinking, and that's not an excuse for my actions but it's the truth, I feel you at least deserve that." Jisung said. Jun stood silent for a moment just studying Jisung's face. "I can tell that you are actually being genuine for once, I do appreciate that. You were a real asshole Jisung Han, but I don't hate you. In fact I think this was just the push I needed to move on from you." Jun said. "Move on from me? Like with someone new? You know what, I don't need to know, I'm happy for you regardless." Jisung said.
Minho sat at his desk doing homework as Jisung laid back on his bed scrolling through tik toks. "How come I never see you do homework? Does the Prince delegate one of his loyal subjects to do his work for him?" Minho asked in an annoyed tone. "I do it while you are at practice with your dance team. Geez, who pissed in your cheerios?" Jisung said slightly offended by Minhos tone. Minho sighed as he said "Sorry, I'm just overwhelmed and taking it out on you. Im finding it hard to find a work/life balance. Between homework, memorizing the dances for class and my dance team after school, I feel like I don't have time to breathe." Jisung sat up, stunned by Minho's sudden vulnerability. The way that Minho owned up to the fact that his aggravation shouldn't be directed at Jisung and apologized immediately was foreign to him. "I mean I honestly don't know how I did it in Korea, I was living on my own and working part time on top of all the things I'm doing here. I guess I just can't keep up that pace forever and I'm getting burnt out." Minho added as he put down his pencil and rubbed his head. "You... lived on your own in Korea?" Jisung asked intrigued. "Yeah, I asked my mom if I could move there to study dance and she let me because I have family over there that could look out for me. But my uncle lived too far from the school so I had to work and get my own place to be able to go to the school I wanted. I was there for 2 years but my mom wanted me back in the states for my last year. School has been a shitshow these last few years switching back and forth between two completely different school systems though so it hasn't been easy." Minho said as he turned back to his work.
Jisung looked at Minhos back that was facing him now as he thought 'I know I'm supposed to hate him but he just looks so pitiful.' Next, his body moved without thinking and he walked over to Minho's desk and asked "Is the material what is giving you a hard time?" Minho looked up at Jisung surprised and said "Its just this one section, I feel like my brain is just fried at this point and that's why I'm not getting it because I feel like I actually already learned this over there." Jisung leaned over Minhos shoulder to see the workbook, practically touching his chest to Minhos back. Jisung proceeded to explain how to work out the problems and Minho wrote as he spoke. "Hey I think I'm getting it now. Thanks." Minho said smiling as he turned to Jisung. When he turned, their faces were only inches apart. Jisung didn't automatically move back at first. He was caught in the trance of Minho's deep brown eyes. "Do you wanna go get boba?" Minho said suddenly, with their faces still inches apart. Jisung shook himself back to reality as he stepped back and asked "What?" "Yeah, come on. We have been working hard, we deserve a break and it will be my treat since you helped me with my homework." Minho said as he stood up grabbing his shoes and slipping them on. "Uh... I... I don't know..." Jisung said not knowing what to say. "What's there to know, you can't say no to a free drink!" Minho said as he picked up Jisung's shoes and tossed them to him. Before he could even fully grasp what was happening, he and Minho were out the door on their way to get milk tea.
