Synopsis:
(Y/N) finds a helpless and discarded Kunizukushi near a burnt down house. When (Y/N) saw those lifeless eyes of his, they were determined to restore the spark that had once shined so brightly.

Note: this takes place at the time of Scaranouch's character teaser, there's no Ayato, Thoma or any of the current Inazuma playable characters (except Shogun). There's also a tiny bit of angst.

(Y/N) was walking home from their nightly duties as the Kamisato household's housekeeper. The walk went on as normal until he reached a section on the road where he smelled a faint trail of smoke.

"Well that's not normal. I wonder what happened... there's usually no fires around this place." (Y/N) spoke to themself.

They decided to follow their sense of smell and went to investigate what happened and to make sure everything was okay. Thankfully (Y/N) wielded a pyro vision so they weren't completely helpless. As (Y/N) approached, they decided to summon their weapon to stay on guard just in case.

As (Y/N) arrived, they were shocked. A whole house was on fire, blazing and burning everything in its path, consuming everything around it. (Y/N) was about to turn away and get more help when he saw a blur of purple. Once they got a closer look, they realised it was a person. Without hesitation, they quickly looked around for an opening and slipped into the fire to try and rescue said person.

After a while, (Y/N) managed to secure the injured person and swiftly left the scene. They made their way back to their house but not before informing some of the nearby villagers to make sure the fire was put out and wouldn't cause any further harm.

Once they got home, (Y/N) layed the purple haired male on the bed and got ready to patch up their wounds. Yet just as they were about to take a look at the wounds, they spotted markings on his wrist and moved his sleeves to check it out. The second they lifted the fabric their eyes widened. What (Y/N) faced was not a normal wrist but instead a wrist that resembled one of a puppet or doll. Understandably, (Y/N) was confused. They've never seen something like this before. A doll yes, but never one that was this realistic and life sized.

"But that doesn't make sense... How does a doll pass out in a fire? I thought they don't breath?" (Y/N) questioned as they looked to the one currently occupying his bed and saw his chest rising and falling. So he does breath. It didn't matter because they were going to take care of them anyway since he must have been hurt and they couldn't simply refuse to help him when he was on the verge of death. With that, they walked to the kitchen to prepare some food for him when he woke up.

"Wait. Does he even eat???" (Y/N) was so confused at this point. If he could breathe, then he must be able to eat too, right? Regardless, (Y/N) cooked up a meal and got it ready for him.

(Y/N) made their way back to their room with a hot, heavenly smelling bowl of soup. When they slid open the door, they saw the person still laying down, but is now staring at the ceiling.

"Hey, I found you passed out in the fiery remains of a house so I brought you back here. You're currently in my room and I have a bowl of soup here for you. Its not poisoned I swear!" (Y/N) spoke as they slowly made their way to the bed and set the bowl down before sitting down on a chair beside the bed himself.

"Why did you help me?" Spoke the unknown doll? Puppet? Person?

"Well... I couldn't just leave a helpless person in the fire now could I?"

The reply came out more quiet and uncertain. Almost as if (Y/N) was being careful of what they called him.

"You already know I'm not human. Why still address me as so and why do all of this? You could've left me outside and both of us know I would've been fine. Who are you anyway?"
