The Outsiders (Jess's story)

"Just let me be, ok?" I screamed at my begging boyfriend. "I know you don't want me to go. And guess what?! I don't either!!" I was packing my bag for Oklahoma. I was done with being pushed around in this town.

"Babe?" My soon to be ex said as sweet as possible. This sickened me. He was still trying to keep me in this hell hole. "Just... Please stay? I love you!"

"I'm sorry John. You'll manage without me. When I'm gone I bet you'll just go after Lillian anyway." Lillian was my... Well lets just say... Old best friend. "You don't even understand me anymore. HELL! You never understood me."

"So we are over? Just like that? You don't even care that I'm going to miss you?" Anger filled his eyes. I slowly backed away from him. Trying to stay out of the range of his fist.

"I guess we are." I said flatly. I zipped up my suitcase and headed to the door before he could get a hold of me. I guess I was too slow because as soon as I ran past him he grabbed my arm. "Damit! Let go of me!" I screamed. But as soon as I did all I felt was my eye throbbing. He hit me. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I knew some day he would do this to me. I guess that was another reason I had to go.

"Baby! I'm sorry! I'm so so so sorry! I didn't mean to! You have to believe me... I never wanted to hurt you." John pleaded as I walked away with a tear rolling down my face. I grabbed my keys and didn't look back. Oklahoma here I come.
