Chapter 1: The Therapy Session
I don't remember anything from before the incident if that's what your implying. I remember the simple things like my name, age, birthday, and school. Why couldn't I have forgotten about that. Never was one to make a lot of friends. It was a living hell for me. And the teachers, don't even get me started on th... You want me to continue with what actually happened? Okay. I guess I am getting off track with my rant. Alright. Where was I? That's right. So even though I don't remember the events before IT happened, I remember the incident very vividly. I still have visions of that place, the feelings I had, that... THING! You're right, I shouldn't get caught up in what I'm saying. I should go in order of events. You need to hear this the right way.
I was walking by myself one night like I always do. It was calm, had no worries because it was the crime-free community of Umbruck. And then I remember blacking out. I don't know how it happened, I just fell. Knowing now, I'm pretty sure I was knocked out by some psycho. For me, it seemed it only lasted a minute. I didn't know I was transported to an abandoned... WHATEVER in another state. All of a sudden, I woke up on the filthy ground of this, place. There was no light. I didn't have my phone, a flashlight or anything to help me find my way. Worst part was that I remembered there was a New Moon that night. Starting to walk, I bumped into a lot of things. In the midst of the darkness, I was able able to find a knife. Was no smaller than an ink pen but no larger than a butcher knife. Just enough to severely injure someone, if I needed to that is. As I aimlessly continued to walk, I began to see a dimness of a light. I was able to focus in on the light and saw a human, or what I thought was a human. I tried yelling at him to try to make my presence aware to him. 'Hello?' No answer. 'HELLO'..... No answer again. By this time, I got close enough to see an outline. He kinda looked like a cone with a rounded tip. It also looked like he had a robe type thing on, him, I guess. Then he turned around in a sudden. It made me jump a little. I began to ask him questions. 'Who are you?' 'Where am I?' 'What the hell is goin on here?' He never answered! It made me angry. I continued to ask questions about how I got there and if it put me there. Still no freakin' answer. Then I asked the question he was looking for. 'Am I gonna get out of here alive?' And the oddest thing ever happened. He said in a very deep, raspy, audible voice, 'NO!' Then he just sorta.... Turned to smoke. It churned for a few seconds then finally settled and disappeared. Now, I have never done drugs, nor will I ever try. Just had to put that out there. Anyways, I started hearing screams. Agonizing screams. It was almost as if these people saw something or were just simply screaming in pain. The oddest part was that the screams got closer. It got louder and rang through my head. I was hoping it was only a dream and that I could kill myself. I took out the knife, thrust toward my body and then I didn't feel anything. I looked down and the knife was dust running through my hand. The screams continued. So I began to run. I felt like I ran for an eternity. You know that part in those movies where they started to run and the corridor just began to get longer the more you ran? Yeah, it was a lot like that. Then I bust through a door and a flash of bright light blinded me. It forced me to stop and cower into the fetal position. The screams continued. As each unseen entity screamed, I cringed. I knew I had to make another run for it, despite whatever distance it might be. Surprisingly, it wasn't as long as I thought it would have been. I only ran for two minutes until I reached this massive exit. It was covered in locks and next to it was a ladder. On it was a note in very scribblish handwriting that stated, "To unlock the door to your sanity and welfare, you must first find the correct lock to set your life FREE!" To be honest, in light of time and nervousness, I closed my eyes, climbed the ladder up three steps, moved myself and the ladder about two inches from my original position, then chose my fate. I picked the right lock. On it appeared another paper. It said, "The steps you took to achieve your freedom, is the combination." That's where I panicked. I had forgotten. After thinking about it again and again, I finally remember something. Three, two... But what was the last number! I wasn't sure what there was left, then it clicked. How far did I extend my arm? I drew a blank. How far DID I actually extend my arm? I stuck out my arm and approximately measured the length. Two. So I put that in and the bolt collapsed. Then all of the locks imploded one after another. I got down before the implosions got down to my level. OH YEAH! I forgot that this all happened while the screams were continuously going on. Sorry, back to the story. So the locks kept going on for a good three minutes. As the last lock imploded, it all went silent. No screams, no implosions, nothing. Then the door creaked its way open slowly. I'm tellin' you, this thing was at least six feet thick. As the door finally opened all the way, I stepped through, and I saw saw a nothingness. It was literally darker than the other room. I stepped through and I saw myself start to disappear. My feet were gone! Then it went to my legs, my waist, my chest, but the crazy part was that I could still move. It finally consumed me fully and I was gone. Then in an instant I appeared back again. I stood there completely confused of this occurrence. Then I disappeared again but was outside of this place. From the outside looking in, I felt very... What's the word for it... Ah yes, thanks, grateful to be alive. The outside of this place almost looked like it was a gigantic mining facility that has been abandoned for at least fifty years. Then the inside started to light up. It got brighter and brighter. It was about as bright as the second room inside. Increasingly it got blinding. Then it vanished. The terror just went away. I didn't understand it. In shock, I turned around and started walking. I walked for six hours all the way back home. When I got home, my mom already had the police looking for me. She was hugging me, asking where I went, of coarse I told her I had no idea. I didn't tell her all of the shit that happened to me. It wasn't until the next week I told her because I woke up screaming every night. She hired a psych evaluator to evaluate me to see how mentally sane I was. I wasn't according to him. I know for me that I was just still in shock of what happened. For two FUCKING years I was in an insane asylum! I'm not seeing things, that stuff in that factory actually happened. I was not high, I was not mentally unstable, I was normal! Every night I cried because i didn't belong in that loopy house. Whatever. It doesn't matter anymore. I'm out, it won't happen again, and I'm ready to get out of here. You have fully enraged me to the point where I am not coming back or paying you so, fuck you.
