The first time we spotted him we laughed uncontrollably, wiping the tears from our eyes. He stood out, not looking like he belonged here. One of the officers even took the nerve to ask him if he was lost. When he said "Oh, um, not exactly." That's when I fell to the floor officially dieing.
'What is so funny about this?' You ask! Well let me brief you on where we are.
We're at NASA headquarters.
You see there is this expedition they're pursing, a trip to Mars, as they have been working on this for years. What's different now is they've sparked something that will actually get them to Mars in back. Now we're in what they call an astronaut boom looking for fresh meat to send up there after the hippies ridiculed them for "Sacrificing poor monkeys and dogs.".
This astronaut boom isn't for everyone, you have to take at least three tests before entering, and luckily I passed them all. Let me tell you sweetie, they weren't just tests on paper. Me and everyone else find it a miracle the poor sap survived.
Now let me tell you this fresh faced son of a gun was nothing impressive. Unlike everyone in the men's quadrant I'm currently staying with, he is not built at all.
He, whoever he is, reminded of a women. I'm saying this in the kindest way possible. If we lined up everyone in here, he would be the smallest.
Not only that, his small frame was confined to only be toned, very little muscle is shown as he stood awkwardly in the clothes that didn't fit him right.
In an odd way though, he was captivating. Large blue eyes peered around the room with upmost curiously, scanning his surroundings to get as much information as possible, shifting to a sweet blueberry violet whenever the light caught them right, while blonde hair fell in soft curls and waves framing his head. His hair was the color of wheat during a sunset.
No matter how pretty he was, he still didn't belong. He didn't look like an astronaut. Not like me.
Strolling up to the poor sap I knew I couldn't leave him stand there unawesomely.
Immediately I saw his name tag that plainly read:
'Birdie'
Oh, you have to be kidding. He was plain adorable!
"SUP BIRDIE!" I chirped loudly watching the boy startle and turn to me in shock and confusion at the loud greeting. It seemed to take him a few minutes before he realized I was talking to him.
"H-Hello? D-do I know you?" Laughing I couldn't help but admire the Canadians face as he looked confused.
How adorable.
"I'm Gilbert Beilschmidt! The awesomest person you'll ever meet!" The small meek Canadian smiled, and I grinned largely back. I didn't expect him to be a cocky little bastard.
"Don't you mean 'the most awesome person you'll ever meet?'' The small smile that was on his stupid face made my brow twitch of anger.
There was only two things to do when you meet a person like this. Let me display on a check list what you can do:

LIST OF THINGS TO DO:• Hate them and swear them to be your enemy

________________________He looked afraid as I glared at him. "You cocky son of a bitch," I muttered watching him tense as if he was going to run, "Why don't we room together?" A smile split across my face as relief flooded his own.
"Okay." He said, I could already feel him relax. Grinning I handed him a key and winked to my friends.
Got 'em.
(( A/N:
New story~ I'm excited for this one. Just a quick note about Gilbert's finishing thought.
Gilbert was hanging out with Francis (France) and Antonio (Spain) and what they were doing was looking for a newbie to introduce and show around (possibly to hit on them, them hound dogs them ;3) anyway Gilbert hooked one, and he also got a cute roommate
I also must say, cover credits to Mapelvogel on Tumbr! She is absolutely amazing and I praise her in the highest! Be sure to check her out if you like prucan and you like art! ))
