Continuing from the first chapter, still in Pony's POV

It turns out the kids name was Eric, and he was from California, which explained why he had tan skin...kinda like Johnny. He was a mechanic part time, but still attended school, and was actually in my grade. He had a nice Harley, and was like a younger Two-bit. Actually, thinking about it, he is alot like all of us. He had Darry's determination, Steve's skill with engines, Two-bit"s humor, Soda's smile, and my interest in novels and fiction. But Eric had his own personal qualities too. He was tall, almost as tall as Two, Jet black hair, and what was weird about about him was the length of his hair. It was shorter than all of our hair, but not as short as Darry's. His hair was a clean cut, but still long. Another weird thing around him was he was law abiding, unlike us. He didn't carry a switchblade, nor any blade, and he insists on paying for everything, instead of stealing. After we filled him up (and nearly wiped out all our food), gave him some hair grease, showed him his bike, and let him sit down, he told us his story.

He had a pretty normal life, he used to live on a ranch. He was acing school, had a swingin' dame, and was repairing an old Harley his dad had bought for him. But one night, while in the garage, changing the oil on his bike, he heard something that shocked him, his parents, for the first time he could remember, were fighting about something. He went inside to see his father hit his mother. Instinctively, he tried t stop the fighting, but then his father, in an anger filled rage, grabbed a knife and charged at Eric. His mother stood in front of Eric, and she was dead before she could say goodbye. His father ran out of the house, and Eric, having no clue what to do, called his only relative and asked if he cold live with him, and after receiving his answer, he grabbed all the money he could find and, after paying his respect to his mother, rode all the way to Tusla. AT the end of his story, we all were teary eye, including Darry, which was surprising. A teary eyed Two-bit grabbed Eric's shoulders and said that they needed to go. Much to Eric's disapproval, he got in Twobit's 1950 Club Cope and drove off.
