To the people who have always said that money doesn't make you happy: how is life going?

like shit

I wish I could travel back in time to get the idea that 'money doesn't make you happy' out of my head.... But it's too late for that. Sadly.

"Ms. Rebecca." Shouted a deep voice from inside.

The woman in front of me enters the room with a perfect posture and a determined look.

How does she stay so fucking calm?!

Before the door slams shut she throws me a wicked grin that said 'you don't stand a chance against me.'

Damn.

The e-mail said that there are only 3 places available, so there is a kind of competition.

I had dreamed of working in a big company for years, and I had prepared extensively for this moment. But now that it was finally happening, I felt a sense of dread creeping up inside me.

What if I wasn't good enough?
What if I choked under pressure? What if the other candidates were better than me?

As I made my way to this building, my palms were sweaty, and my mind was racing with self-doubt. I tried to calm myself down by reminding myself of all the hard work I had put in, but it didn't help. The fear of failure was too strong.

I had been dreading this day all my life.

Liar, you had sent the application just for fun and only found out 2 days ago that you were invited to the interview today

I didn't have time to prepare!

How could you? You were the one who decided to check your emails way too late.

Mistakes can happen...?

You got the acceptance 3 months ago and that even one day after you sent the application!

Damn. Can't you at least motivate me?

Since I signed up as an employee of one of the most famous companies - yes, out of stupidity - I didn't expect them to even consider me, but as fate wanted it, here I am.

Unfortunately.

Actually I didn't plan to show up, but Alia and Pravin left me no choice. I love my siblings- sometimes- but not giving me a break after college?

I was actually planning to help my aunt in her bakery for a year. Arya is pretty well known in the neighborhood with her little bakery and helping her is just great.

In particular, Arya's donuts and brownies are just heavenly.

I remember the first time I tasted my aunt's brownies. They were heavenly, with a perfect balance of rich chocolate and just the right amount of sweetness. From that moment on, I was hooked.
