Growing up, Karin Kobayashi was quick to realize that the world was like a garden— eighty percent flowers, twenty percent weeds. Several years had passed since the first flowers had bloomed with over half the population manifesting some sort of power, or quirk as they were more commonly called.
Thriving amongst an overflowing variety of greenery was hard enough, for how did one ensure they were to be plucked?
From the initial eighty percent, the number was split once more, not evenly, but very much divided. Of those people with quirks came two kinds of beholders, those who wished to help others with their strength and those who only wanted to cause harm, bear malice, and wield thorns of destruction. Karin had never been able to decide which way she fell, but it became clear to her that a third path remained... those who did nothing with what they were given.
Nature was broad, mysterious, able to do both good and bad. And Karin? She could manipulate it all to her will. The only question now was what exactly did she want to do with it?
U.A. High School was the one place that could help her figure it out, and it just so happened that another mystery she'd been yearning to solve for years— one involving a boy with dual colored hair that seemed to match his persona a little too well, was also looking to go there.
It was impossible for her to know what she would be walking into, beyond her wildest dreams could she have ever imagined the kind of power she might someday come to behold, and everything she could become because of it.
All that echoed in her head for now were six mere words: wrap yourself in petals for armor.
