I don't know how long I was out before I woke up, but when I did I wasn't in my room. The whole world had a white glow, there were no floors, walls, no ceiling but somehow I was standing, all alone.
"HELLO!" I yelled out, but not even an echo was retaliated. "HELLO!" I yell again, I fall down to my knees, small tears making their way down my cheeks. "SOMEONE PLEASE!"
"Anja." It was almost a soft whisper but I knew exactly who it was.
"Dad." I turn around and see him standing there. "Dad!" I ran up to him, jumping into his arms, he held me tighter than he'd ever held me and now, both of us were crying.
"Are you ok? Are you hurt? Did something happen? Did I do something?" My dad bombards.
"Dad, I'm fine."
Dad looked closer at my arm and noticed it bandaged. "Your arm. What happened?"
"Nothing, dad, it's fine, I'm fine." I try to move the visual of my arm out of view but he sees right past my attempt to spare him the pain of hurting his daughter.
"Anja, I'm--I'm so sorry, I-"
I cut him off before he could finish. "Dad, it's ok." I walk closer to my dad who is now on his knees, I kneel down in front of him and grab his hands. "You could never hurt me." I say to him wiping a tear off his face.
I could tell he still felt heartbroken at the action, but we're agents, and it's time to do what agents do. "Loki, he's planning to open a portal." he starts. "Like the one at SHIELD, but this one will be 10 times bigger and be able to stay open as long as he wants."
I begin to wrap my head around the information, trying to process and memorize every piece of it, that's when I realize, I never woke up. "This is just a dream," I whisper.
"Anja, kiddo. I'm gonna need you to trust me, this isn't a dream, honey." He holds my head in his hands, using one hand to brush my hair behind my ear. "There's some things that your mother and I should've told you a long time ago, and that's on us. I will tell you everything soon but for now, can you just take my word for it."
It takes me less than a second to nod my head in agreement. I begin to walk away from him somehow knowing I'm going the right way. "I love you Anja, to the moon."
I spin my head around so that I'm facing him. "And back." I ran back to him jumping into his open arms. "Forever and Always.
"Go kick some ass kid, especially mine."
I let out a little chuckle before returning back to walking but this time when I turned back, he was no longer there, in his place was someone else. Loki.
"What the hell are you doing here!" I shout stomping towards him. I pulled a knife I didn't know I had out of my back pocket holding it against his neck. He holds his hands up in surrender and gives me a devilish smirk.
"You're the girl with the bow and arrow," he says.
"My name is Agent Anja Black with SHIELD and I swear, no matter how long it takes, I will kill you for what you have done to my father and plan to do to the world!"
His smirk differs slightly and a new sensation enters his usual mischievous eyes. "Anja." he states. "Anja with a J?"
"What," I responded a little taken back by his choice of question.
"Anja with a J instead of a Y. A-N-J-A."
"How do you know that?" I shout at him. "No one ever knows that."
I loosen my knife against his neck putting it back in my pocket while Loki's hands go back down to his side. "Your father told me everything about you, probably even some things you don't know about yourself, yet he failed to mention your name."
