I've never been to a party with this many people.
The three of us walk in together, and I'm not trying to sound cliché or anything, but every head turned when we walked in.
Chloe always gets a rush out of having all eyes on her. So she winks at the crowd and flashes her million dollar smile.
The beach house is so unbelievably big, that there's about 1000 people here. The lights are dim and the music was incredibly loud.
We weave our way through the mountains and mountains of people and try to find Zack.
"There he is!", Chloe announces and points to where he is.
Zacks black hair is hard to see in the dark setting but shes able to see its him anyways.
"Zack!", she yells out. He turns his head and smiles at her.
"Hey, glad you made it", he gives her a soft kiss on her cheek and she looks confused. I was confused too, I thought he was going to give her a full out make out session.
I find myself looking for Wyatt, and then I catch myself. I should not be looking for him. He's not my boyfriend, or even my friend. He's just one of the thousands and thousands of other guys that are attractive.
Audrey taps my shoulder and says,"Scarletts outside, I'm gonna go get her".
When Audrey walks away, I turn around and find Chloe and Zack nowhere to be found.
Great. Now I'm alone.
I make my way over to the mini bar and the bartender flashes a smile.
"What can I get for you?".
I look around at all of the drinks and say, "I'll have jack and coke".
He gives me the strangest look that I'm forced to laugh.
"You drink like a man, huh?".
"I do", I say. I was never really a fan of all of the fruity drinks, I like my alcohol rough.
He hands me my drink and I tip him a 5 and walk away.
I dance by myself in a corner to the music while I wait for Audrey to come inside. I take frequent sips of my drink and close my eyes and move my hips to the music.
I'm so into the music that I don't hear my name being called out.
"Raylen?", I open my eyes to see Wyatt standing in front of me, a smirk playing his lips.
I compose myself and clear my throat.
"Hey Wyatt", I say normally.
"You were really into that music..", he tries his best not to laugh.
I blush, good thing its too dark for him too see. "Yeah".
He looks around, "Where are your friends?".
"I'm not sure where Chloe went.. and my friend Audrey went outside for a minute".
"Oh okay", the way his eyes lingered on my body made me shiver.
Wyatt was about to say something, when a redhead stumbles up and grabs his arm. "Wyatt, I was looking for youuuuuu", this girl was clearly drunk.
"Sorry I was-" he's cut off by her .
"Who is this?" She asks. She's having a hard time keeping her balance on her heels so she uses Wyatts arm for support.
"This is Raylen", he says.
"Hi Ray-Lin, I'm Wyatts girlfriend", she says and smiles.
The thought bothered me a little, but why should it? I don't even know the guy.
"Nice to meet you", I smile back at her.
"Alright well it was nice meetin you Rayna" She slurs and yanks Wyatts arm to follow her.
He widens his yes and says, "See you later".
I'm left alone. Again.
I look around to find Audrey or Chloe and I finally spot Audrey by the door. I walk her way, passing many drunk dancers. One guy almost spilled his drink on me.
"Aud!" I call out. She looks up and waves me over.
I see Scarlett next to her and my jaw nearly drops to the floor.
Scarlett is the model I'm interviewing next week.
"This is Scarlett?", I say and Audrey nods. I take out my hand for Scarlett to shake and I say, "Nice to meet you".
She's stunningly beautiful. "Nice to meet you too. I've heard a lot of great things about you".
I look over at Audrey and she winks at me.
I mantain my cool and say, "I work with VOGUE and I happen to be interviewing you next week. Huge fan!". Way to keep your "cool" Raylen.
She smiles, "Wow thank you". Even her accent is intruiging.
Technically Scarlett is famous, so I mentally check off the "Meet a famous person" part of my list.
"Alright, let's partayyyyy", Audrey exclaims.
We all make our way to the middle of the dancefloor and dance to every song being played.
I finish my jack and coke, so I go and get another one at the minibar.
The bartender is dancing while he shakes drinks. "What can I get for ya? Another manly drink?".
I nod and he mixes away.
He hands me the drink, and when I go into my bag to tip him, someone behind me places down a ten dollar bill.
I turn around to find a handsome man in a suit. He looked as if he were in his late 30's or early 40's. He had brown hair neatly kept and soft hazel eyes.
He grins at me.
"Thank you", I say. I suddenly feel shy now in his presence.
"Anything for a gorgeous lady", his deep voice says and I can't help but blush. He has a british accent too.
I stood there, waiting to think of something smart to say, when Zack and Chloe walk up.
"Dad?", Zack looks at the man who just bought me a drink.
"I just wanted to grab a drink, son. Calm down." He rolls his eyes and takes a sip from his dark drink.
Zack seems to be too drunk to care so he grabs Chloe's hand and walks away.
