Why him? (Cato love story)

Chap. 7

I woke up with Cato sleeping beside me and Glimmer on watch.

"Hey." I say.

"Hi, sleep well?" She asks.

"Yeah but one of you should have waken me up. I could have watched."

"Cato didn't want to wake you. He really loves you."

"I know." I say happily.

After a couple minutes everyone else woke up.

"Let's go find Katniss." Peeta says.

"Yeah, let's go kill some tributes!" Cato yells.

"Yes!" Marvel yells.

We started looking for Fire Girl in the trees.

"Cato, there she is!" Marvel yells.

"Yes, it's her!" I say.

"Here, let me get her." Glimmer says pulling back her bow.

She misses and we all get annoyed.

"Here, pass it." Cato says.

He misses too.

"Cato just go up there." Marvel says.

Cato started climbing the tree that Katniss was in. He was getting pretty high but the branches were getting smaller and he was too heavy. The branch snapped and he fell hard to the ground. Luckily he was fine.

"We should just stay. I mean she has to come down sooner or later." Peeta says.

"Yeah, okay, set up camp." Glimmer says.

We got all set up and went to bed.

I was woken by a stinging feel. I open my eyes quickly and see tracker jackers.

"Run! Run, tracker jackers!" I yell. I grab Cato's hand.

Me, Cato, Marvel and Peeta started running toward the lake and started dunking. I heard Glimmer scream and I knew she wasn't coming.

Me, Cato and Peeta went to look for Katniss when Peeta ran away.

"Katniss! Run! Go!" He yells.

"You moron!" Cato yelled.

He lifts up his sword and slashes Peeta's leg really deep. I didn't like knowing that the wound would kill Peeta so he would suffer, so I pull out one of my knives and slit his throat.

When his canon went off, me and Cato walked back to the lake and sat with Marvel.

We were sitting there eating apples when we saw smoke.

"Come on!" Cato says.

We walked to the fire but no one was there. We were walking back when we heard a giant BOOM! Me and Cato started sprinting back to the cornucopia to see all our supplies blown up.

"You! You did this!" Cato yells pointing at 6.

"Cato, please." I soothe softly.

Cato lunges and grabs 6's neck and snaps it. His canon blew along with two others.

"Who's were those?" I ask.

"I hope it wasn't Marvel..." He whispers.

Me and Cato went hunting and ate.

The anthem started playing and Peeta, Rue, both from 6, Glimmer and Marvel.

"No!" I cry.

Me and Cato hugged. It was only us, Thresh and Katniss.

"Let's go get Thresh!" He says.

"Okay."

We started walking and foung Thresh. He had his own and our back packs from the feast. Me and Cato didn't go.

Cato walked out and slit his throat before he could react. The canon went off right away.

We continued back to the cornucopia. I heard growling some where behind us.

"Ahhh, Amanda run!" Cato yells.

I look over and see creatures. They looked like dogs mixed with wolves but bigger. Mutts.

Me and Cato ran and climbed the cornucopia.

Suddenly someone grabs me and brings me to the edge of the cornucopia...
