{Chapter 4}

*2 years later* Niall's POV*

"Niall, can I have some?" Louis asked me, and I looked down at my bag of chips. "Get your own!" I said. "Please?" "No!" We argued. "Boys, please." Simon said. "Sorry uncle Si." Louis and I said. "Alright, why did you call us to this meeting?" Liam asked. "Right. So, as you know, your old guitarist has decided not to continue with us so we've been looking for a new one." He said. Oh, so it's about this. Boring.... "And?" Zayn asked. He must be as bored as I am. "We've found a few, and would like your input!" He said. "So, I'll show you a few videos." We all turned to look at the flat screen. "This is Spencer Marsh, he's 18." Simon said. We watched the video and I have to say, he's really good. "And this is Noah Sharp, also 18." Again a video played. Wow. He was equally as good. This is hard. "And lastly, Kate Evans." Wait.. Did he just say Kate Evans? As in the girl I had a major crush on like 2 years ago? The video started playing. I remember her mentioning being able to play, but this is amazing! She never told me she was this good! I thought back to high school. I remember the day she told me that she liked me back... How could I forget that? That was the day of our first kiss. And the day I found out that I was selected to compete in the X-Factor. After that, I was so busy with X-Factor stuff... I totally left her. We still talked and texted, but after a while we lost contact. I got a new number and moved on in life. "Niall?" Simon said, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Yeah?" "You okay lad?" Zayn said from next to me. "Yeah, I just think we should definitely go with the last one." I said. They all laughed. "Niall, we just went over that... We chose Kate." I smiled. "Oh. Then shall we get going?" I asked. "Yes, I have a 2 o'clock appointment. I'll see you later boys. "Bye uncle Si!" We all said as we exited his office. "So what was that about Nialler?" Louis asked once we were in the car. "Oh... I just used to know that girl in high school. That's all." I said. I can't wait to see her again.... I've missed her so much.
