Welcome to Noble Blood. The first story ever concocted for the world of The Crescent Empire.
The Crescent Empire world has been a passion project of mine I have been working on for years. And it started with a short love story with this title. What started as a small personal story poking fun at the likes of Twilight blossomed overtime into a fleshed out fantasy world complete with unique creatures and languages, real world inspired cultures and deep history.
It began several years ago, in the early 2010s, I believe. When little adolescent me felt like a little fun-poking for myself, I chose Twilight and the concept of vampires for my fun-poking, setting my world in a steampunk style Victorian era real world with some extra locations in the world. But after a few years, it began to develop, by the late 2010s, when I was in college, my lore had grown and the cracks had begun to show in the concept's workability. I had no choice but to rip it all up from the roots and start anew with the Realm of Thyrdra. A clean canvas on which to paint a new lease of life into the project, mould the world as the narratives and concepts demanded. This story takes place in the westernmost continent, the continent of Khinmeria, host to the aforementioned Crescent Empire.
After this move, I felt free to remould my story to include many new places, events and designs. Designs for cities, ships, outfits, even steam trains soon followed. Making Thrydra a lived in and developed fantasy world, with history ranging from great disasters, glorious celebrations, bloody conflicts, incredible places, curious creatures, unimaginable monsters, treacherous acts and legendary figures.
This is the story of only one figure in this vast world. One who has to find her way in the world as dark forces seek her out at every turn.
