'It's been 10 days there were little skirmishes but nothing too threatening for me to clear out since I had to show that I can keep good on my promises but eventually I'll be the one calling the shots unfortunately my curse seal isn't just going to crush her will and have her under my thumb since she is still a Kage not the strongest but still a Kage level Shinobi I should enhance it further since it's not as effective as it could be but I'm sure I'm close I just need a better targ-'

"Hey Orochimaru!"

Orochimaru snapped his head in the direction the voice came from seeing Mei giving him a suspicious glare.

"Ah my apologies I was thinking on something what is it Mei-san"

"Mocking me isn't very flattering we're close to the location"

They reached the gates but to their shock the people were all tied to the gates with paper bombs Orochimaru's eyes widened a bit as well in disbelief.

'I never would expect the Mizukage's men would go to such lengths but then again hatred is a great motivator there's probably a trip wire somewhere'

"Aoi check if there's any traps it seems too easy"

"Very well"

He saw that there were hidden paper bombs around them and meters away there were a bunch of chakra fleeing to the shore being chased by many.

"The ones tied up have nearly been drained of their chakra but are covered with hidden paper bombs they're all over the ground and are supposed to be a distraction we'll have to jump the wall and help the rest of the clan that are fleeing to the shore probably to get near as much water as they need while the mist is abundant using the sea will give them a great advantage which is why their being chased down"

"Great analysis Aoi alright I want 100 men to disarm the entrance the rest of you we're going to jump the wall!"

"Yes Mei-sama!"

Mei jumped along with the rest of the army that ran through the abandoned village Aoi still having the active saw a change in the enemies tactics.

"They must have sensory Shinobi in their ranks some of them turned around and are come towards us"

'I see why the cloud wants those eyes while the sharingan is indeed more powerful the advantage on battlefield analysis due to those eyes are quite deadly'

Orochimaru saw the silhouettes of the forces and really wanted to see how accurate Aoi can be.

"You've done good so far with that eye but can you tell how many are coming our way?"

"The total force is 4,600 and was probably higher when they arrived about 2,500 are being sent to stall our advance but I wonder what could scare the clan that..."

Aoi went quiet as he saw an ominous dense chakra coming from the advance.

"Mei-sama this force is being led by-"

A red blur blitzed right beside Aoi he screamed in pain as his arm was ripped off by a version 1 cloak 2 tails Yagura he crushed it he let out a roar which blew everyone back Orochimaru stabbed his blade in the ground and held himself while the Jounins maneuvered in the air and landed on their feet the lesser skilled chunnin and genin were sent flying back from the battle a few probably losing their lives from colliding the ground in high speeds.

Orochimaru made a single handsign as his chakra flowed around him being dense enough to be seen before becoming invisible again as it surrounded his entire body in a impressive display of chakra control before instinctively blocking a chakra claw attack from Yagura which knocked him back he dragged in feet in the dirt but was pushed back enough to make a huge shallow trench In the ground then he heard a bunch of jutsu's activate.

Both Yagura and him were in the middle of the 2 massive jutsu's launched by both sides Yagura pulled back and jumped high in the air taking a deep breath sucking in the mist he aimed towards the shore seeing a great wave wash over his forces  and saw the boats filled with the evacuating non-shinobi of the clan but before he could fire a massive yellow fire style: fire stream jutsu came his way so he was forced to counter with his highly pressurized water stream that blew through the fire style but he was unable to see where the snake went but noticed a hole in the ground as soon as he noticed he turned around and was prepared to block the extending kusanagi blade but it pierced through his cloak and arm so he diverted it to avoid getting stabbed through the chest as the blade shrunk back Yagura was going to land on the ground but as soon as his feet were about to touch the ground Mei shot a large amount of lava style under his feet which burned him his sandals melted as his feet received burns but he jumped away landing on solid ground taking a few breaths.

"I... wasn't.. expecting a sannin... to help you people fight against me I was hoping to finish this quickly by getting rid of the most problematic of the bloodlines like those ice users but I guess it won't end so swiftly but next time I'll find you personally rebel scum"

The Kage poofed away revealing it was a shadow clone the whole time.

' that's one durable clone he used but it's to be expected of a Kage level Shinobi it looks like they couldn't stop them from reaching the water and since it takes much less chakra when relying on nature I feel like this was planned I don't even think we needed to be here '

"Looks like we got lucky with someone competent leading the Hozuki clan since our arrival"

"Hm well in terms of threat other than the Yuki clan they are the most dangerous in the mist"

The 2 kage level Shinobi rushed in to drive the remaining forces back as medical ninja rushed from behind grabbing any of the injured as and falling back to the wall of the village. As things were being wrapped up the man Known as Madara was on top of the wall watching the whole thing before clenching his fist.

'it seems like I'll have to abandon my project here with Orochimaru involved the mist won't suffer as long as I planned what a shame'

He turned around sucking himself in a swirling vortex.

'but I'm sure In all this chaos there's many souls with potential that I can train to replace Orochimaru's spot'
