Kronmei: Romantic Time with You

Ch. 1 Business before Pleasure

The date was September 20, 1892. Within the Ouro family manor, the maids and butlers have been frantic for the past week. For the house have been preparing for the arrival of the arrival of Ouro's family business partner, the Nanashi Trade Company. The eldest daughter, Ouro Kronii, has just recently been given the position to be the new leader of the family's business by her late father, who has passed away few months pryer. As the family's new boss she has come up with new plans for the business and trade. So Kronii has invited the family's closest and trusted business partner to the manor to further discuss the future of the family's business.

Today was finally the day that Kronii would hope to do her father proud for her family's fore fathers hard work. The business partner to arrive was Nanashi Maverick, of the Nanashi World Trade Company. At a young age Maverick was able to build his our trade business. Talented in his younger years, and is still holding his business strong. It was Kronii's father who took Maverick in to be apart of the family's business. The two were close friends, some would even have called them brothers. But now with the late owner of Ouro Enterprise, Kronii can't help but worry for her new plans. Would they prove profit to the plans that Maverick and her father for the company, or would Maverick shun her ideas and wish to keep their business pact the way that already is? If Kronii wants to further her plans for the business, she will have to convince Maverick before anyone else with in the company. It is thanks to the Nanashi family trade that the Ouro family is able to be who they are within the business world today.

Kronii stands in her room as she dresses in a more business friendly attire. But she was struggling with tying a cravat around her neck.

Kronii: "Why can't I get this stupid thing on right!? Father and Krono make it look easy to put on. Maybe if I look it this way..."

Knock Knock

Kronii: "Come in!"

The person who opens Kronii's door was her younger brother Krono, who was trying to hold in his laughter at the site of his sister.

Krono: "Oh god, you are actually going to meet Maverick in men's clothes. I know father would care less, but I worry for what Maverick will think."

Kronii: "Say what you will brother, but I need Maverick to take me and my ideas seriously. For that I should make things clear that I mean business. Gah! This blasted cloth!"

Krono laughs at his sister flailing around with the cravat around her neck. Kronii turns to her brother with an angry look in her eyes.

Kronii: "Make yourself useful and help me put this on."

Krono smiles and helps his big sister to look like a well off "businessmen".

Krono: "I understand that you want to established an even battle field. But most people won't take a woman seriously who dresses up in men's clothing. However I for one think if anyone can pull it off it would be you dear sister."

Finished tying the cravat, Krono looks at his sister in pride. She was determined to meet the world of business with a metal gauntlet. Kronii turns to her mirror to take a final look to determine if she wore the suit well. She did have to agree with her brother she did wear the clothes well. Now it was time for the true battle to begin.

Krono: "How long is Maverick staying with us again?"

Kronii: I asked him to say at least a week with us. But if he accepts my way of thinking and what I have in plans for the future, then I hope for him to say at least 2 months. 3 if I'm feeling greedy. Maverick is an innovative thinker, like me, so hopefully he'll accept what I have in plan. But most of what I have in plans for, most people now a days would be against the mer thought of it."

Kronii couldn't help but start to think her efforts might be in vain. Krono saw his sister starting to waver in her thoughts. Stepping close to his sister Krono placed a hand on her shoulder.

Krono: "You are an Ouro, no matter what the out come will be. Know that the family will always have your back, and if not theirs then you definitely have me. You got this."

Kronii and Krono both share a sentimental smile with each other.

Knock knock

Kronii: "Enter."

Once again the door opens revealing one of the maids of the house.

Maid: "The Nanashi carige is pulling up now."

Krono: "Thank you Alison, we'll be down soon."

The maid Alison bows and makes her exit. Krono turns back to his sister and readjust the cravat to where is sits perfectly around his sisters neck. Then the two siblings leave the room and made their way to the front door to greet their guest. As the Nanashi carige comes to a stop, Kronii could feel her nerves  creeping up on her again. Krono takes a step closer to her and whispers.

Krono: "Smile, you look like your about to meet your future husband for the first time or something. Haha."

Krono's little joke helped Kronii to relax a little bit. Kronii breaks a smile and walks to the carriage as its door starts to open up. Only to reveal a young girl with long brown hair and a long haired english setter dog. Her maid with green hair, then exit right behind the young lady.

Fauna: "Apologies Ouro family, but master Maverick is stuck with business. He has sent his daughter in hopes to entertain you until his arrival."

The brown haired girl gave a curtsy and a bow towards Kronii.

Mumei: "Hello, my name is Nanashi Mumei, this is my aid Fauna and my dog Animal. I wish to apologize for my fathers lateness."

Kronii couldn't help but feel a little awkward toward Maverick's daughter. She was fully prepared to meet Maverick, but standing before her was a beautiful and well spoken woman.

Kronii: "...cough. I-It's quite alright, pleased to meet you Miss. Nanashi. I am Ouro Kronii, I am the one who has invited your father in hope to propose a business proposal. Allow us to take care of your luggage for you."

Fauna: "Thank you for the assistance."

As Kronii called for aid to bring in her guests luggage, Mumei looked at Kronii with a puzzling look on her face.

Mumei: "Why are you dressed like a man Miss Kronii?"

Kronii face turned red as she started to feel embarrassed by Mumei's sudden question.

Kronii: "D-Does it not suit me?"

Mumei took a moment to fully take in Kronii's outfit, and smiled.

Mumei: "I think it suits you just fine Miss Ouro."

Kronii: "Please, call me Kronii."

Kronii started to feel at ease hearing another woman approve of her new look. Even though Krono told her that she looked good, it felt nicer to hear it from someone outside of the family to say it.

Kronii: "If you won't mind, I'd like to offer a tour around the mansion, while my aids prep your rooms for you. After we'll have dinner prepared us all to enjoy."

Mumei smiled happy to be able to stretch her legs. Having to sit anymore would be to much for her.

Mumei: "That sounds quite nice."

Kronii then offers Mumei her arm to help guid her around. Krono saw this action an raised an eyebrow, not quite sure what to make of things. But one thing is for sure, his sister might have just fallen in love at first sight.
