Hello! Sorry if this is confusing but my friend and me wanted to do a chapter (it ended being half)where we swapped who was writing every 5 minutes. So if you see "FRIEND:" and "ME:" just know that it means who was writing.
It was a sunny afternoon when, Sage Oliver, a twenty year old woman living in the 21st century decided to have lunch with friends. Sage was never really in touch with her family besides her sister, Beth. She worked as a waitress at an old diner across from where she lived, but all she really wanted to do was paint. Sage was an artist. She always had a sketch pad and pencil in her bag just in case she had a spark of inspiration while she was out.
FRIEND:Sage was walking down the sidewalk enjoying her day. She needed to cross the street but decided not to wait for the walk sign because she didn't see any cars on the road.
Sage was crossing the road, not paying any attention. All of a sudden, in a blink of an eye, a bus from Area 51 appeared and ran straight into her. Turns out that the bus had a Time Machine inside.ME:The bus exploded, sending Sage into a tunnel of colorful bright lights nearly blinding her. She remembered nothing after that, she had blacked out. She woke to the feeling of raindrops on her forehead, and opened her eyes to what seemed like complete darkness.
FRIEND:She looked around to notice she was in an alleyway. The stars were sparkling at her. Sage was very confused. The last thing she remember was crossing the street. "Oh whatever" she thought. Sage got up and decided to head on into a pub she found. There was a band playing. She normally didn't like the type of music playing because it was from the 80's.
ME: She went over to the bartender drenched from the rain asking where she was.
He responded with "We're in LA... why? Are you alright miss?". Sage couldn't believe what she just heard. LA? But I live in LA? I must've ended on the other side of town, but still how would I have gotten here? She shook her head and walked away leaving the bartender concerned. She finally took a second to take in her surroundings, the people dressed in bright colors with their hair choppy and curled. The bar looked old ,retro, but not like it's been for a long time. Sage's eyes finally made their way to the band playing in the back of the room. It was 4 guys in very odd outfits and poofy teethed hair. To her there was nothing really special about them besides the fact that they were very wannabe 80's rockstars. She walked closer and sat at one of the open tables to take a better look. It looked like they were all into the music they were playing, but there was something about the guy with the bass. She couldn't describe it, but it looked like he wasn't just playing music, it looked like he was the music. The way he tapped his foot to the beat, and how he swayed to the rhythm of the bass was almost putting her into a trance. It looked liked he noticed her staring because they made eye contact for a solid second before Sage looked away.
Soon after that the show ended. She watched the band pack their instruments and equipment away into bags and boxes. Sage was fidgeting with her nails before she noticed that the band's bassist had walked over to her. "Mind if I take a seat?" He asked. Before she could answer he had already made himself comfortable. "Interesting clothes you got on." He said referring to her blazer, ruffled shirt, and bell bottoms which were now still a little damp from the rain.
"I could say the same about you," Sage answered back.
"Where you from?" He said sounding curious but also a bit confused.
"Here actually... I think,"
"What's that supposed to mean!" He laughed flashing a silly warm smile. Sage paused for a second, trying to think of what to say. But then he cut her off. "Y know it's pretty late. Do you have a way to get home? Judging by your close you don't,"
"Uhm about that-" Sage said.
"It's alright if you don't really. I can drive you if you want?" He said back.
"No, no it's not that. It's just, I don't know if I have a home to go back to,"
"Ohhh your in one of those situations, I've been there before. I know how hard it is, if you want you could crash at my place for the night," he said kindly. Even though he probably had the wrong idea Sage really had no other options so she couldn't say no, but she had no clue who this guy was! Did she really want to take the risk of him being a creep? Her eyelids said yes while struggling to stay open, but her mind said no. Her eyelids ended up taking control making her agree. They both left the pub and started their walk to his car.
"Oh hey, by the way I never got your name," he said eagerly waiting for her response.
"Sage, Sage Oliver," she said with slight hesitation for fear she really might be doing the wrong decision.
"Cool name! Mines Nikki Sixx, pleasure to meet you," he said sticking his hand out and almost bowing making her chuckle.Hope you liked this chapter!
