17 Mom?...

Rui POV:

In the morning, everyone leaves shortly after Akito complains about having a mustache.

"What do we want to do now?" I ask Tsukasa.
"Hmm." He seems to get a little lost in thought. Just then, his eyes widen and he looks at me with a soft smile, "Now that we're dating, I think...I'd like to go visit my mom. She'll love to meet you." He stood up and grabbed my hands.

"Sounds good! I'll go get ready." I said. Then both of us ran upstairs to get around.

We started to walk to the hospital and eventually we made it there and checked in, "Ah, Mr. Tenma, it's been a while. Here for your mom?" The lady at the counter asked. "Yes, I thought it would be nice to see her again." Tsukasa replied.

We sat down in the waiting room, normally you wouldn't have to wait for a visit, but the hospital was busy today so they had to change it up a bit.

While me and Tsukasa were talking, I felt something strange in my pocket. I looked down to see my pocket glowing a purple-blue color. I took the glowing object out of my pocket to realize it was a mirror shard.

I looked at Tsukasa and we ran to the bathroom so nobody would know why or how we suddenly teleported.

Our scenery changed to a back stage sort of area. There sat holorgram me, sitting in a chair looking over a few pages of blueprints. The room seemed to have blueprints taped all over the walls and little metal pieces scattered on certain places all over the ground. I put together the pieces to realize this was probably my work area.

Just then, some guy with light brown hair and a fake smile walked into the room, waving to somebody behind the curtain. Hologram me noticed and looked at the guy. When they made eye contact, the guy with the fake smile scowled.

"Rui, listen. I don't like you. You don't like me, easy right? Wrong. I don't care if someone doesn't like me but, this time that's not the case. You're in my way, Rui." The guy said, folding his arms while pacing around the small room.

"Wha-no, Ryota, you have the wrong idea. I don't dislike you, you're my friend. We work together and make great shows, we're a good team, aren't we? Plus, what do you mean in your way?" Hologram me said, putting down the prints then standing up to face the boy who's name is Ryota.

I looked at Tsukasa anxiously and he looked at me the same way. We were both getting an uneasy feeling about how this conversation was gonna turn out. We turn back to the scene at hand.

"Don't lie to me Rui. Don't try to make me feel better, i don't need your pity. You ARE in my way. Because YOU like Nene!" Ryota fumed, getting close to hologram me's face time make the point Clear.

It went quiet. "No, Ryota, I don-"
"Quit the bullshit! I know you like her, and you're making moves, just to infuriate me!" Ryota's tone got more serious.

"Ryota! Listen to me! I don't like her like that! And, I don't think she likes you like that either... If you're acting like this over her, you don't deserve her." Hologram Rui crosses his arms and frowned.

"Why? You think you are?" Ryota stomped. "No. I know she isn't into either if us, let's leave it at that." Hologram me said with a serious tone, then smiled warmly upon Nene peeking into the room.

The world then faded back to a hospital restroom. Tsukasa looked me in the eyes, "What the heck?"

"I don't know, we'll just have to find out next time." I said, with a feeling of uneasiness in my mind.

We walked out of the restroom, trying not to look suspicious. Once we sat back down, a nurse walked over to where we were seated, "You two are free to go visit Ms. Tenma." She gave us a card with the number to the room on it.

Tsukasa POV:

We rounded the hallway of my mom's room. I felt my heart pounding. I haven't seen her in a while. That's when I saw the number. C4. "Hey, Rui. Do you think...you could wait out side for a minute? I don't want it to be awkward, I'll introduce you. I just wanna privately talk to her first..." I said, looking down.

He smiled at me, "Of course, I understand, Tsukasa." Before I walked in, he gave me a kiss. I blushed, "Thank you, my love." As I walked in the room I panicked, why did I say that??!!

I chilled out...

Upon walking into the room, a woman with long somewhat dim blonde fading to red hair with eyebags, laying in her bed turned to look at me. Her eyes seemed to lighten up when she saw my face. "Tsu?" She asked. "Mom, I missed you!" I dashed towards her and gave her a hug.

She hugged me back, "Tsu.. I missed you too. I'm so happy you came to see me. How are you? How is Saki?" She asked happily.

"I'm doing great! Saki's still at band school, but I'm sure she's doing good." I replied, pulling out of the hug.

"Mom, I wanna introduce you to someone, someone special." I slowly backed to the door. "You know how you said, I would someday meet that certain  someone? I finally did..." I said, blushing as I grasped the door knob.

Her eyes sparkled and she put her hands over her mouth. I opened the door and Rui stepped in with a warm smile, "Hello miss. I'm pleased to meet you." He said while bowing, then he walked closer to me and held my hand. We looked at each other and blushed.

"Aww baby! Come here!" Mom said, with slight tears in her eyes. I teared up too and ran to her, this time hugging her really tight. Rui stood there watching the moment, "Come give mom in law a hug, dear!" My mom said, making room for Rui.

He started to cry in the spot, I've never seen him cry like that before. He ran towards us and joined the hug.
