This Isn't Home...

"Hey Maddie, are you still going to meet me at the park" I texted her.
An Hour went by but still no response...
Hm, guess I'll just go by myself! "Dad! I'm going to the park I'll be back in half an hour"
"With who?" He asked. I was annoyed but still answered him. "Just me Maddie canceled, again..." "Oh... I'm sorry sweetheart I'm sure she'll come next time" My dad said. Yeah right this is the fifth that she's canceled on me, I don't even know why I bother asking anymore...

I swear the park kept getting farther and farther... I know that's not possible, but I swear it only used to take me 5 minutes to get to the park and now I feel like I've been walking for hours. "Did I take a wrong turn" I wondered to myself. I couldn't have, I've gone to this park a million times... The street it just, feels so, unfamiliar...

I've been walking for like 45 minutes now! where am I? After taking about a million wrong turns I ended up in this weird sketchy alleyway. But the only thing about it is I couldn't put my finger on it but it just felt so, familiar... I got this strange sense of deja vu... I don't know why I just felt like I've been here before. No, I know for sure I've never been here I don't even know where I am if I'm being honest.

Everything just feels so weird, and before I knew it tripped over something... You would have thought I tripped on air but I swear there was something there but as soon as I opened my eyes I was somewhere...different...
I don't know where I am, for real this time... I'm not exactly sure what happened but it's almost like I fell through the floor? I don't know, I must be mistaken...

  But this place... I don't.. I don't know...
There are these stained yellow walls, and the carpets are almost wet? There's this buzzing sound that's just driving me crazy. I started to walk around and look for a way out but it's almost like these monochromatic hallways are never ending. After what felt like hours of walking around I begun to get thirsty and hungry, I thought that I was a goner until I found this strange bottle... I wasn't quite sure what it was... But the bottle read, almond water...

I thought it was some strange off-brand almond milk, and I didn't know how long it had been there, or if it was even good but I was just so thirsty... And I've been walking around for hours and can't seem to find anything that resembles an exit... So I took a sip... It tasted like normal water with a hint of... Almond butter? I wasn't going to question it... I only took a little sip as thirsty as I was I knew I needed to savor it..every last drop.

So I collected the "almond water" and continued walking... But then I heard a faint, roaring in the distance? Look, I was willing to do anything for some food. If there was an animal here I was going to be the one to find it... That is if there's anyone else here that can find it... Well obviously there's other people! Someone had to have built this place, right?

I tried to follow the noise as the roaring sound grew louder, and louder, and louder, you get the point. As I turned corners and ran through empty Halls, and opened doors that led to more hallways! Eventually I inevitably found the source of the roaring. As I turn the corner ready to give up, I saw it... The tall, wiry creature that almost appeared to be staring into my soul... At that moment my fight or flight kicked in, and let's just say I chose flight... Has I ran for my life the realization kicked in... I most definitely wasn't home anymore...
