A great battle is destined to take place where the worlds meet, where the purest will fall in defense of earth and all those who have sinned.

A lush and green field lay in the middle of a forest, cut off to the outside world. Those who found the field called it heaven on earth but they didn't know. They didn't know that the green grass sprouted from a dust soaked in blood, that the birds flew through the air once filled with screams of agony and begs for mercy. For this field held the biggest, bloodiest battle heaven and hell has ever known. But also it is where peace began.

Years before Angels and demons alike had entered the field ready and waiting for the order to attack and take out the other, destroying the earth with them. Both had their weapons drawn, eyeing each other up, looking for weak spots. A trumpet sounded in the distance sending both parties into a frenzy. It had begun. War had begun. The demons lusted for blood, ripping out the angel's wings and destroying their grace. The angels' slayed as many as they could get their hands on, killing them forever. While this was going on the earth was suffering immensely from the wrath of the beings. Floods, fires and storms sprouted up all over the world. Many men, women and children perished in the flames of war. A war they could not see, hear or least to comprehend. Pastors told of the end of the world and that it was.

Many decades of fighting has left both sides weakening from the never ending attacks. Constant talk of retreating circled around the high commands but was just as quickly extinguished when new casualties were heard of. The earth could only handle so much and it was reaching its breaking point.

A day dawned like no other and all of creation knew this would be its final day breathing if nothing was done to stop the war and save the earth. Excitement buzzed through the angels because Michael was here and ready to finally face Lucifer in a ditch or die effort. The son you rebelled facing the son who obeyed. Both men stood on either side of the field. Angels and Demons were spectating from a safe distance, each side ready to jump in if it looked like they were losing. It took but a second to remove their shields and reveal their true forms. Forms so beautiful and righteous if any human were to look upon them their eyes would surly burn out. The clash of these forms fighting could have enough impact to wipe out the solar system and yet they chose earth as the place to host this final battle. But before they even taken a step a bright light emulated from the middle of the field causing both species to cover their eyes or look away.

When the light had diminished to a brightness they could stand, Angels and demons alike stood shocked as what appeared to be a young maiden stood in the middle of the field with her arms outstretched as if to stop the brothers from fighting. Her face was hung to look at the ground, from the way she looked it seemed as if she would collapse at any moment. A beautiful white dress, fit enough for any queen, hung from her body loosely. A small chatter rose among the crowd of celestial beings. Then without any warning her head snapped up and eyes opened. Silence fell once again. Turning her head to the side to look at Michael then Lucifer before looking straight ahead again and lowering her arms. As she opened her mouth to speak, her eyes shone pure white and there seemed to be a faint glow coming from her body. The voice that rose from her captivated the attention of all those who could hear.
"For many millennia earth has been a battle ground for heaven and hell. But no more! I was anointed by the great God as the guardian of these people and I have watched from afar many perish at your hands, angels and demons alike. I will do whatever it takes to end this and so I say your destruction of earth is over. Leave!"
A push was felt in all the angels and demons and before they knew it they were back where they came from, angels in the tops of heaven and demons in the depths of hell.
The young maiden then stood alone in the field before drawing a long ceremonial dagger from beneath her dress and holding to her throat.
"With the sacrifice of this pure blood and grace may the gates from heaven and hell into earth be closed, until a time that the father of all sees fit."
Pure blood was spilt, and on that day peace was birthed into this earth. Pastors may say that all the conflict on earth ended with the grace of God but really it was then pure blood and grace of his faithful servant who gave her very being to protect the humans and in the end, her life.
