The windows were opened and she ordered for them to
be closed. She seems to be waiting on someone and is on date. "But where is her date?". The bar attender asked a young waitress. The young mistress in her twenties, looked around. Her deep green eyes meet with the old clock from the 90s on the tint blue painted wall which strikes immediately at 11pm. He was suppose to be with her after sunset. A disappointing sweat rolls down her face. She wipes it off her face. In accordance with the current momentum, she takes her bag and disappears through the closed doors of the Eight's Cafe. At the car park she realised to have made a mistake giving the lover boy a chance. She suddenly has no feelings to drive back home in her one and only favourite car. On her way home she reminisces about the past. The empty street of Kingsway makes her feel something way more different as compared to the time he held her hands and asked her if she would be his date for the home coming dance. She was really surprised because it had been a rumour that he had already asked Shenice Harmon, the only girl with black long hair in the senior class. Success was the last considered fan of hers. In fact they have been huge nemesis since first grade.

On the first day of grade one Shenice told the whole class that Success has popped in her pants which actually was true. Fortunately for Success it didn't last long, but any last breathing organism which existed between the two had died billions years ago since that day. "Success, girl, Peter asked me to the home coming dance. Do you know how cool it is? Oh sorry, with your situation right now. I mean you BEING UGLY there is no way such jock will ask you out. So keep dreading on". Indeed Success was in shock, because it wasn't something new, observing the poppy eyes Peter always gave to Success. Everyone knew that he had a crush on Success. Why then did he asked Shenice to home coming?

That same day is when he proposed to Success the same question in the empty street of Kingsway. It was a lovely cold evening after the long lasting rain showers. The streets were disbelievingly brighting and not slippery. The white crop top she had on, reflected on the streets as if she was the moon who obtained light from the brighting sun during the day. Taking him to be her sun.

He had already charmed her with his spells, but the last question he popped replaced every single feelings she had for him with an awful hatred. "Hasn't he already asked Shenice to go with him? Oh! I know where this is heading!". She questioned herself as she kept a straight face and agreed. Success wasn't the type to lie, but at this rate, it can be said that she sees only red. "It is better to tell a white lie than lieing, right?" Trying to convince herself, she accepted his impromptu proposal.

On the home coming night, the school's biggest auditorium was crowned by the white, black, red and green gowns and suits of the students of Kingsway High School. The smell of expensive perfumes was here and there. The music was booming and every thing to be expected in a dream prom was happening live and coloured. The best couples, the normal couple, the unexpected and the ex couples attending together. The event was starting in few minutes and there were even reporters, I mean the school's of course on the red carpet. Shenice was in high spirits. As she was asked, what design she is wearing tonight, it didn't last her a breath intake before giving the name, address and other unnecessary answers to the enthusiastic presenter of the school's newspaper team. She really doesn't have any idea what's coming upon her?
