You've just turned 13 and you got the brand new iPod touch for your birthday, you have been begging your Parents to buy you one for about a year now and it appears they've finally caved in.
You walked to school, skipping with glee. You were excited to show off your new iPod. You entered the school grounds only to be greeted by a bunch of bullies luckily, you hid your iPod out of sight before they could see it but you knew there was still going to be trouble.
"Oi, Y/N you got our lunch money?" One of the boys barked at you while you were trying to enter school, "Why can't you just leave me alone, I have no business with you." You reply hastily back at them, but this seems to only irritate the boys, "Aw, Look at little Y/N, Standing up for himself." One of the taller boys muttered, but before you can reply back, you get shoved to the ground, "You better have our lunch money by break, or you may never see the light of day again, YOU FUCKING HEAR ME." But to no avail you couldn't reply and they ended up walking away.
You walk into your classroom, still very butthurt from being shoved to the ground, but you went to your seat and opened your iPod touch, every nearby pupil was amazed at the screen that was illuminating your face, but sadly the teacher ordered you to turn it off before class started.
A few hours later
The lunch bell rang and it as you left your math class, it felt like someone was lurking behind you, you knew this feeling. It was the feeling of dread. You knew why that feeling was there.
You cautiously entered the school cafeteria, the sounds of loud talking filled the room, but there was a smell of reheated pizza coming from one side of the room.
You anxiously sat down and waited.
But no one came.
The end of lunch bell rang and you had a sigh of relief, you find out in your next class that the boys were suspended for bullying another person during the 5th class of the day.
You decide to relax but the feeling of dread, never left. You knew they'd be back, they always came back and the school never seemed to really punish them for their actions. And you weren't ok with that but for now you were content.
Another few hours later
The school bell rang and the corridors began to fill to the brim with students rushing to get out.
You get squished by the amount of people around you, but before you began to get claustrophobic, you got out. you take a deep breath of the fresh air but that's when you realise that your bus is nearly full to capacity which would leave you walking home for 45 minutes.
You make it in time, but you had the worst "seat" of all, the handles that you have to hold to not fall over.
With a few bumps and potholes, you make it to your street, the bus came to a stop, you thanked the bus driver and started to walk the tiny distance to your house.
You got home, and fell on the couch and let out a big sigh, not before the realisation that you had forgotten about the IPod touch in your pocket. You pulled it out and started to swipe, pinch and poke at the screen.
You eventually open the App Store and got mesmerised by the amount of games and video apps there were, you downloaded apps such as YouTube, Netflix, Temple Run, but when you looked for atleast one more app, you saw something that caught your eye.
An application called "MalO ver1.0.0", the app had a humanoid dog like character on the small little button, you click on it and begin to read the description of the app.
It went on the lines of "Never settle for those awkward feelings of being alone ever again. MalO is an exciting and interactive experience that will keep you engaged and intrigued. The anxiety of social situations can be nerve-racking, but after just a few hours of MalO you will soon forget all about those painful emotions of disappointment. Be part of the new craze that is quickly becoming the next social substitute. Remember, the more you participate, the more MalO will engage you. Your experience is completely up to you. Absolutely NO ADS. Enjoy!"
You being young and not really thinking, download the app, but what you hadn't realised is, you've just made the worst mistake of your life.
You look under the description and find out that the app is only 9.8MB, you thought "Wow!" Such little space taken up!
But as you watched that little circle reach full, a sinister feeling rushed through you but you shrugged it off. The app changed from downloading to Open.
You closed the App Store, and the app wasn't there, you thought it was a bug but thought little of it. You keep playing and downloading other games but you find an app called YouTube that takes most of your time on your iPod.
After a couple weeks, you forgot about the app and the mystery of where it went, but it didn't bother you. You watched a variety of YouTubers such as; Smosh, Fred and Shane Dawson. But after a few weeks...
