‧̍̊˙· 𓆝.° 。˚𓆛˚。 °.𓆞 ·˙‧̍̊meeting up with neteyam in secret had become an often occurrence on ionia's schedule. their friends had been a little bit suspicious over how close the two had become, but no one dared to question it.
feyiri had taken an insane amount of liking to neteyam. the young girl had now began calling neteyam, dad and ionia, mother. feyiri was convinced the two young adults were in a relationship, so they played along to satisfy the girl.
tsireya had caught ionia sneaking out past curfew one night, but had managed to lie her way out of it.
but when she brought it up to lo'ak, he also mentioned that he too had caught neteyam sneaking out past his curfew.
the sully family, tsireya, roxto and ao'nung were sat around a table eating all together, things seemed to be going smooth. no one had said a snide or cruel remark about another, except neteyam teasing lo'ak, which everyone found highly amusing.
everyone was in conversation, when ionia turned to neteyam, "you want to go get some more water?" she asked.
"but i haven't finished my water!" he replied, looking down at his half full cup.
"please? i'm so bored!" she complained, pouting out her bottom lip. he stared at her for a moment, before releasing out a huff.
neteyam stood up from the table, his cup in his hand. everyone looked towards him and ionia, who had now stood up beside him.
"where are you guys going?" kiri asked.
"to get more water," ionia responded, looking at her friends and siblings.
ao'nung looked to neteyam, who had the cup. ao'nung noticed it was half full. "but... neteyam hasn't even finished his water?" ao'nung looked at the two in suspicion.
everyone's eyes darted towards neteyam's cup, which was indeed half full still. "it's... gone warm?" neteyam lied, which the others knew.
ionia rolled her eyes at her brother and roxto's looks. "come on," she said. ionia grabbed onto neteyam's arm and pulled him away from the group.
as they walked further away, ionia turned her head towards neteyam, a smile on her face, "told you so!"
neteyam rolled his eyes, but with a smile on his lips, "they didn't even buy it! they knew i was lying!" he answered, "why couldn't you have came up with another reason to leave?"
"oh sorry, neteyam!" she said sarcastically, "you're older than me, so you should have came up with one!"
he rolled his eyes, turning to her, "yeah! by two months!"
they entered a clearing, near a line of trees. neteyam placed his cup down for a moment, turning his back away from ionia, who took the opportunity to her advantage.
ionia crept forwards and pulled on the forest na'vi's tail playfully. neteyam whipped around to see a giggling ionia, clearly amused about what she did.
"oh, you're so in for it!" he challenged.
"am i now?" she tested.
neteyam lunged forward reaching for ionia, who jumped back. ionia had managed to latch onto neteyam's shoulders, throwing herself onto his back.
neteyam grabbed onto her legs, holding her up for a moment. he managed to eventually pull her off and pull her to the ground, laying her down on her back. neteyam hovering above her.
"i win," he smiled smugly, "guess i'm just better than you!" he shrugged.
ionia shook her head. she hooked her foot around neteyam's leg and flipped them over, causing neteyam to hit the floor with a thud. ionia now sat on his waist.
