Takamitsu Naohito was, in all aspects, pretty much average. He goes to a school near his neighborhood, with grades being fairly high than usual, but still more to work on. He lives with his parents inside an apartment that wasn't too lofty, but certainly wasn't too shabby. Nothing in his life is special or extraordinary. His parents worked in offices and he balances his schedule so he makes sure he has enough time for his studies and for his friends.
So why did he allow to stumble himself in such circumstances?
For starters, he was lawfully good in terms to his nature - although he has his own flaws, he was raised to be very kind-hearted and followed every virtue that he learned since his childhood.
The result turns out to be a double-edged sword. Well, at least for Naohito.
"Hey, Takamitsu, do you have some spare money," said his friend, Yoshimi Tetsu, and quickly adds, "there was a huge sale at the mall yesterday and I bought some clothes and I kind of, you know, accidentally spent my allowance for the whole week." A series of nervous chuckles followed, audible albeit very soft.
"Wow, Yoshimi, that's like, the umpteenth time you've said that to Takamitsu ever since we met in first year," Hisoka Katsumi chimed in and joins the bunch. "No wonder you've never paid back the debt."
"You're the one to talk, Hisoka," Takeda Junichiro, who was with them the whole time and was listening, finally says something and elaborates further, "seriously, if you two were to sum up all of your debts, Takamitsu could buy us dinner in a fancy restaurant."
"You mean like that one restaurant in Hamada that has caviar in their menu? You know, caviar is pretty expensive," asks Tetsu, whose stomach grumbled aloud at the mere thought of a grandiose dinner, which caused Naohito and Katsumi to snicker in secret. Junichiro, however, keeps a blank face.
"Probably," Junichiro answers back.
Naohito leans backward into his seat, arms and legs stretched wide as if to imitate someone who just woke up. "Cool, now pay up so I can treat myself some tasty caviar. Well, whatever that is."
"We don't want to unless we come with you," Tetsu proclaimed with all his heart. He then glances towards Katsumi, expecting some back-up.
"Somehow the purpose of paying is defeated if something like that happens," Katsumi pointed out, followed with a chuckle, but as soon he sees Tetsu's grim face of dissapointment, he follows back with, "oh, although being treated to some fancy restaurant and all would be nice."
Katsumi sighed in relief when Tetsu's sour face subsides.
"Fine, if you won't pay, I may actually run out of money to give to poor men like you," Naohito stares at his two friends, "and well, you all know how stingy Takeda can get when it comes to money."
While Takeda might have shown a nerve popping out on his head, "Rude," is what Junichiro is capable to say. He can't afford to lose his cool right now.
"We all know that wouldn't happen," Tetsu scoffs at the idea.
Silence lingered at the bunch, it seemed like the issue was irrepairable at all. With Tetsu unwilling to pay the ever piling debt and Naohito running out of money (probably), it was a mess, and Tetsu was about to change the topic - it was his fault the conversation drove into a dead end - and tries to avert the issue so it hopefully doesn't get brought up again (and if it wills it, Naohito gets hit in the head and forgets all of this) but then Katsumi voiced out first.
"Hey, how about we make a deal."
Second, another reason that Naohito considers is the fact that he also can't seem to say 'no' when it comes to many things - favors, orders, and of course, a well-thought deal.
"What do you propose, Hisoka?"
With a grin planted with his face, Katsumi starts off with a story rather than the terms. "Have you guys heard of Musou Saeko of 2-A?" The others were left in the state of bemusement.
Naohito only responded with, "Uh, she's my classmate at art class. Why?"
Katsumi ignored him and continues his narration as if silence answered his question. "Musou has been my classmate for many years. You could say that Musou has it all." He rose his hand and begins to pinpoint through counting with his fingers, "She has the looks - smooth and silky black hair, reaching up to the shoulders that matches her bespectacled beauty, giving people the lasting impression of a goddess. She's also very talented whether it be academics or extra-curriculars, and moreover, she has a nice personality."
Naohito gulped. He knew what game Katsumi is playing. Even though he isn't as cheeky as Tetsu, it is a matter of fact just his first impression. Terrifyingly, under a thin sheet of modesty and kindness lies a thick layer of what seems to be Satan's soul.
The mere thought sent Naohito's body to shiver in anxiety.
"So, what about her? Isn't there supposed to be some kind of catch?"
Katsumi made by far, the worst shit-eating grin one has ever seen in one's life. "It's really obvious what your goal is. However, here's the thing. You must only make your move to her only after class."
"We're not in the same club. How are we supposed to talk?"
"Are you sure she's in a club?" Katsumi's smirk seems to expand at a rate, it's screaming, "give up".
The three eyed at Katsumi. Junichiro was the first to speak. "Well, that's stupid. Everyone is required to join a club."
Katsumi only shrugged, rocking his chair using his laid back, to merely radiate the carefree demeanor. "We all know that."
Silence once again reigned the circle, the three being really confused. The only thing that broke the silence is the bell that signified the next period. It sounded really monotone to Naohito's ears.
"Well damn, Hisoka, you really outdid yourself this time."

Author's Note: Hey, hey! Thanks for picking up on this, really appreciated. Please read this carefully, it would help a lot!
Below is a series of clarifications, snippets of information, and other stuff that needs to be established.
When I introduce a new character, I use their full name - surname first then first name.
The setting takes place obviously in Japan. Therefore, there will be words that will be encountered in the Japanese language. With that established, unlike other authors, I don't use Japanese names just because it's an aesthetic. I intended this story to take place here, because I thought I could use the knowledge I garnered for a very long time and relay some of it through a story. It just felt right.
Some of their names are made through research, and their meanings have a basis for the story. Meanwhile, other names were derived from other words so the names might not be literally relevant but through a little twist in the letters it might have. I'll reveal the nomenclature whenever I feel like it.
I'm working on a book cover. Sorry if it looks crappy for now!
This is a story of fiction. Characters, places and events are fictional and coincidental unless stated. Before you flail on your arms, Japan is a real place. A fancy restaurant in Hamada may not be.
Until then! Pleae comment or even share to your friends, it's really appreciated!
