Gentle was the breeze as a short skeleton stood still, his back facing towards the doorway leading to the throne room
Click. Click. Click. Click.
He began to hear the approaching clicks of someone's shoes, the sound getting louder with each step.
Click. Click. Click. Click.
Sans raised his head slightly, his eyes narrowing at the arrival of the bloodthirsty monster he had been a fool to trust. He did not dare to turn and look into the monster's eyes, he wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of knowing the pain he'd caused him
“Is there something wrong, Sans?”
That voice... That damn voice. The same voice that had spoken so softly to others, that same voice that had promised their freedom. That same voice he heard laugh as those he cared about were torn away from this world, leaving nothing but dust that blew away with the unforgiving wind
“You could atleast turn around and face me.”
“I won't, and you should know I won't.” Sans replied bluntly
The monster standing on the other side of the hall snickered, twirling the blade used to end the lives of others in his hand.
“You talk as though you know me personally... Fine. Have it your way.” the skeleton said before passing the knife to his other hand.
Just as he heard the harsh click of a single shoe, Sans moved swiftly to the right with his eyes alight. Immediately after doing this he shot his hand upwards, the center flashing momentarily as he summoned a line of attacks and directed them towards his opponent.
Ducking, jumping and swinging his blade, Chrome avoided each and every bone that came his way. He didn't hesitate when he got close enough, swiping his blade at Sans and missing before narrowly dodging the beam of energy that had been fired from a Gasterblaster. Unfortunately for him, he only dodged the blast to step straight into a bone attack that pierced straight through his soul and ended his life.
*Leave no life behind, the perfect end awaits
Just as he had died, he had come back to life. Gripping the handle of the knife tightly, Chrome grinned
“Did that satisfy you?”
Sans still wasn't looking at him. He didn't dare to. The painful memories of the past he had evoked were far too much for him to handle at that time.
“G, you already know what comes after this. Why do you insist on moving forwards?” Sans asked the monster behind him, refusing to meet his gaze
“There you go, talking like you know me.”
“G, C'mon... We both know it doesn't end well. Is a world devoid of anything really what you want? Is an ending like that really worth that much to you that you'd kill everybody just to get it?”
“Your insistence to call me 'G' is beginning to aggravate me. My name is not 'G', and as for your question... An ending devoid of pain and suffering, lies and manipulation... Isn't that the kind of ending anyone would call perfect? It is worth everything.” Chrome replied
