Pokemon Next Generation - Off on A Journey

(This is a AU of my AU and this is also here if it turns out that the new girl protagonist isn't the daughter of ash and serena and is just of fan of ash who looks like ash and serena's daughter, this also takes place about 20 years after ash became champion so he is now 30, the ships in this are ash/serena, james/jessie, misty/OMC, brock/OFC, gary/leaf, may/drew, dawn/kenny, max/bonnie, clemont/OFC, goh/chloe and many others i will put in if i think about them, one last thing is to mention is that doesn't take place in the gen 9 region paldea but instead a new region with all pokemon up to gen 9, so anyway hope you enjoy)

Hi, my name is Flynn Ketchum (Riki in japan), i have just turned 10 years old and i am the oldest son to my parents, Ash and Serena Ketchum, i'm quite a famous child as my dad is the world champion of multiple regions while my mom is the queen of hoenn, sinnoh and kalos and she's also a big celebrity, i have a younger sister Eva (Emi in japan) who is is 8 years old she loves pokemon as well as i do, we have 4 pokemon at home which are 2 pikachu which are my dad's pikachu and my mom's pikachu who is called pip, a eevee which is the daughter of my mom's sylveon and belongs to eva as a pet till she's old enough to start her journey who she named muffin and a pichu who is the son of dad's pikachu and mom's pikachu and as well as my best friend who is also called Sparkie.
there are also some other pokémon but there are my god father's lab, my god father by the way is gary oak who me and eva call 'uncle gary' he is a very good friend of my dad's and he took over as professor after his grandad samual oak retired when i was 5, anyway there are loads of pokemon at the lab, most of them being my dad's pokemon like charizard, bayleef, totodile, bulbasaur, squirtle, gible, oshawatt, snivy, gengar, lucario, dragonite, norvirn, goodra, lycanroc, torracat and many others (also in my AU both tepig and torracat never evolved as i don't like incineroar or pignite, ash also has the pokémon back that he let go or gave to other people), my mom also has pokemon therr but not as much as my dad, she has a delphox, sylveon, pangoro and togekiss, they are all cool pokemon and i wish i can have a big amount of pokemon someday.
"FLYNN!? you ready?" a voice says that sounds like a woman's voice
"in a mintue, mom!" flynn replies as he throws on his shoes and socks quickly
he then grabs his jacket which was a purple with a zipper and his backpack which was black and white, he went downstairs and he was met by eva and her eevee
"hi flynn!" eva says happily with a cute smile and her eevee muffin wagging her tail
"eevee!" 'hi!' muffin the eevee says happily still with her tail wagging
"are you excited for today?" eva asked happily and flynn smiles at her it's a sigh
"yes, i am" flynn replies calmly and eva hops happily with muffin coping her
"oh! i'm so happy for you, you get to explore and see new pokemon and make new friends and-!eva says happily and excited and muffin was mimicking her by hopping happily
"alright eva, calm down" serena says as she had come out of the kitchen after overhearing eva talking to flynn
"whoops, sorry mom, i'm just-" eva says looking at serena as serena bends down to eva's level
"excited for flynn, i know, me and your father are excited for flynn too" serena says calmly and eva eyes sparkle happily "do you have everything, flynn, i don't want you leaving stuff behind" she says as she looks over at flynn
"yep, i check before bed and this morning before i went into the shower" flynn replies looking calm but serena can see in his eyes that he was really excited
"that's a good boy" serena says happily and she stands up
serena then gives flynn a kiss on the forehead and he acts slightly embarrassed by his mothers affection, eva giggles at flynn's reaction, serena smiles at flynn's reaction and then the front door opens to reveal ash
"hi everyone!" ash says happily and goes over to serena
"hi ash, dear, where did you go? i didn't hear you leave the house" serena says then asks after ash gives her a kiss on the cheek
"oh, i went to tell our pokémon what's happening today" ash replies and he looks down at flynn "you ready to go, flynn!" he says excited and flynn grins excited too
"yeah! so hyped!" flynn replies and both ash and serena could see he was excited which made ash smile as it reminded him of when he was flynn's age getting ready to get his first pokemon
speaking of first pokémon, ash looks around and sees that his best friend and partner pikachu wasn't here so he holds his hand to his mouth and faced to the kitchen
"hey pikachu! where are you? we have to go!" ash shouts out and everyone looks at the kitchen
"hey sparkie! we have to go to!" flynn adds as he wants his partner with him
meanwhile in the kitchen and both pip and pikachu were with sparkie and they were cuddling and snuggling him
'ok, sparkie, you be a good boy for flynn, okay' pip says to sparkie after giving him a cheek to cheek spark rub
'i will mom, you know i will' sparkie replies happily and pikachu smiles
'oh, and always listen to flynn, don't disobey him like what your father did when he started his journey with ash' pip adds and pikachu looks away with a embarrassment blush
'yeah, i sometime regret doing that' pikachu whispers to himself and pip gives him a pat in the shoulder
"pikachu!" ash yells out and this get the pikachu pair and sparkie's attention
"sparkie, it's time to go!" flynn yells out after ash and pip watches as her partner and son go running off
'oh, my son is growing up so fast' pip says sounding sad as she wipes a tear away from her eye
pikachu and sparkie go to ash and flynn with serena and eva there too and pikachu goes onto ash's left shoulder while sparkie goes to flynn's shoulder
"there you two are, i was worried you two didn't want to come" ash says happily as he pets pikachu on his head
"pika, pi pika pika pikachu pi pikachu" 'sorry, pip wanted to say goodbye to sparkie' pikachu replies and ash smiles as he looks over at flynn and sparkie
"that's fine, shall we go then?" ash says happily and both flynn and sparkie smile and nod happily
"yeah, let's go dad!" flynn says happily and he bolts to the door
he lets himself out and eva waves goodbye to him
"*sigh* i can't believe this is happening, it doesn't feel like long ago that he was just 8 years old, running around in the back garden with eva, sparkie and muffin" serena says as she leans into ash as he pulls her into him
"yeah, he's growing up so fast" ash replies calmly and he gives serena a kiss on her hair "well, i see you later" he says still calmly and he leaves with flynn before flynn gets inpatient
"ok, see you flynn, bye!" eva says happily as she waves flynn of as both flynn and ash leave though the gate
"bye eva, see you soon!" flynn says with a wave to eva and he runs off ahead
serena waves with eva and then they go into the house with eva now hit with loneliness
"i miss him already" eva says sadly and muffin felt the same as she looks down sadly
"don't worry, i bet he will phone us later with his new rotom phone he's going to get from uncle gary" serena says as she bends down to eva level
"*gasp* flynn's getting a rotom phone! cool!" eva says happily and this made muffin happy to as she hops happily "i hope i get one when i leave for my journey" she adds excitability as daydream going on her journey with muffin
"i know, you will in 2 years" serena says happily and she rubs her hand on eva's face affectionly "now, why don't you go and play with muffin, she would probably want to play with you" she adds and looks down at muffin
muffin gets into her playing pose and eva giggles happily
"okay! come on muffin, let's play in the garden!" eva says happily and she runs to the garden with muffin following her
serena watches her go and she couldn't help but see ash in her with her excitable personality, she also sees that when flynn was growing up, she could see that he had a lot of her personality but also had a sprinkle of ash's personality in him with his inpatient behaviour, she smile and then decides to tidy up flynn's room to see if he had remembered everything and it make sure if it wasn't dusty, meanwhile with ash and flynn and the pair were holding hands as they were going up to the lab, as they were walking, ash looks over at flynn and suddenly sees flynn as him when he was 10 with pikachu on his shoulder where sparkie is which made him slightly shocked, flynn then looks up at ash and tilts his head a little
"what's wrong, dad?" flynn asks sounding confused
"it's nothing, you just look like me when i was your age" ash replies as he was slowly gaining a smile with his mind full of memories
"i do?" flynn asks looking excited
"yeah but with me, i was running to the lab in my pyjamas as i was almost late" ash says smiling and he chuckles
this made flynn giggle and ash smiles at flynn's giggling, ash sees that they were now at the lab and they both go up the stairs with pikachu sitting happily on ash's right shoulder and sparkie sitting in flynn's left shoulder looking excited, when the pair get to the top, ash was about to knock on the door when the door opens with gary standing on the other side
"hi ash! i'm glad you came, on time as well" gary says happily and gives ash that smug smirk
"hi gary, i've brought flynn with me like you asked" ash says with a smug annoyed face and then he looks at pikachu who was looking at sparkie
"that's great, come in!" gary says and he walks ahead leaving the door open
ash and flynn follow gary with ash shutting the door and ash sees that the lab hasn't changed that much since he last saw it, the lab had now more technology around it to keep up with the times and it also had a redecorate, ash then spots gary's umbreon sleeping in his bed and ash sees that the umbreon looked to be getting on a bit as it looked tired
"oh! hi ash!" a voice says and ash looks to the door to see gary's wife leaf standing at the door with a window spray in her right hand and a cleaning cloth in her left hand
"hi leaf, how you been?" ash replies happily and leaf smiles at him
"i'm fine and lucas has been really excited to go on his pokemon journey, i bet flynn is too" leaf replies and ash nods his head as he glances at flynn who was being amazed by the picture of pokemon appearing then disappearing on the big computer
"yeah, he's been really excited to start his journey to the point he was making eva excited too" ash says happily and he does a teeth grin while rubbing the back of his head
"that's sweet, i-" leaf says but was cut off by yelling
"flynn!" a boys voice says and flynn looks over at the door after he snaps out of his amazed daze "hi flynn! are you excited as i am" the boy says as he goes over to flynn
"hi lucas! i am! are you?" flynn says happily to see his childhood friend
lucas is the son of gary and leaf who was born a week eariler to flynn and he could have gone on his journey but he wanted to wait for flynn before he could go, gary and leaf also have another son who is a year older then eva at 9 called christopher or chris for short and he wants to be a pokemon photographer and artist, he was very good at art at school drawing the teacher's pokemon and he was also really good at taking pictures of both people and pokemon, gary will take chris sometimes on his outings to get really good pictures of pokémon or to draw pokemon being cute, leaf loves that her son is out and about with his dad as when he was little, she was worried he didn't like pokemon due to how introverted he was and acted annoyed when pokemon went near him.
"yeah, so excited!" lucas says happily and the 2 boys looked happy
"ok, boys, calm down" gary says as he walks into the room "before we start, lucas, do you want to come with me san choose your starter as flynn already has his" he says and points to sparkie on flynn's shoulder
"would i?! yes!" lucas says happily with a air bump and flynn smiles seeing how excited lucas was "do you want to come as well, flynn?" he asks flynn and flynn nods
"yeah, i want to see all the starter! i heard they are all cool!" flynn replies excited and this was making lucas excited too
"ok, come along you 2" gary says and he walks ahead after he waves his hand at the 2 boys to follow
lucas and flynn follow gary and ash didn't know if he should follow too or go back home as he knows flynn will be safe with gary
"you coming, dad?!" flynn yells down the hall and ash smiles knowing flynn still needed him
"coming!" ash replies with a smile and he runs off after his son leaving leaf on her own but she didn't mind
leaf then goes to the windows and starts cleaning them while humming to herself, back with flynn and the 2 boys with the 2 adults make go to a room and when gary pushes a button by the door, the door opens to reveal it was a nursery full of starter pokémon, the boys walk in first and see that the nursery was split into 3 categories, the one to the left was full of grass types starters, the one in the middle was full of fire type starters and the one on the right was full of water type starters, there was also a little pen to the side of the door which had a eevee and a pichu on it
"look at all of them!" flynn says amazed as his eyes were sparkling looking at all the pokemon
all the starters were from the kanto region all the way to the paldea region and all of them were doing their own thing, the grass starter were all sunbathing in the sunlight that was shining though the window, the fire starters were either being playful with each other or with toys, napping or chilling by themselves and the water starters were either swimming around in the pool that was in the middle of their section of the nursery, chilling or napping outside the pool or playing with some toys, lastly in the little pen and the eevee which was a boy was napping while the pichu which was a girl was playing with a little ball by throwing it up and down, lucas was looking at the starters but he couldn't choose which one he wanted as he looked at the starters multiple times
"got an idea on what you want yet?" gary says to his son and lucas was looking worried
suddenly lucas felt like he was being stared at and he looks over to the fire starters where a fuecoco was the one staring at him, the fuecoco looked to not be 100% there and it had its mouth open like it was waiting for food to fall in it but lucas looks at it and he started to fall in love with it
"i want the fuecoco!" lucas says happily with a point to the fuecoco
the fuecoco wags it's tail happily but it's face doesn't move like it's frozen, gary smiles at his son and then picks up the pokeball that belongs to the fuecoco, the fuecoco then jumps out of the pen and goes over to lucas still with the same face
"do you want to be my partner, fuecoco?" lucas asks the fuecoco and the fuecoco response by happily jumping finally showing a happy face
gary hands the pokeball to lucas and lucas looks at the pokeball with amazement, he then holds out his hand and the fuecoco jumps up and touches its pokeball making it go inside the pokeball
"yay!" flynn says happily with his arms up in the air and sparkie joins in
"lucas smiles at flynn and then he lets fuecoco out if it's pokeball, the fuecoco looks around and sparkie jumps off flynn's shoulder to greet fuecoco
'pichu!' "hi!" sparkie says happily and fuecoco looks at him with its dopey face 
the fuecoco smiles at sparkie and he waves it's little hand at sparkie making sparkie happy
"before we go on, do you want to give a name to your fuecoc, it also says here in the pokédex that it's a male fuecoco" gary says and lucas goes to think about it
meanwhile outside the window and 2 teenagers were looking into the room, these 2 are jessie and james's twins, a girl named milly and a boy names mike, they are both 5 years older then flynn being at 15 and they are as mischievous as their parents are, they want to be like their parent and steal sparkie but not to give to team rocket as the origination broke up after giovanni retired a few months after jessie and james had the twins, instead they want to steal sparkie so they can show their parents that they are better at stealing pokemon then what their parents were, the difference between the twins was that mike was a inventors that make a lot of inventions to help catch pokémon while milly was a actress martial and played alot of different character she made up to help distract people to take pokemon, the pair watched as lucas was thinking of a name and then they duck down to under the window
"so, how are we going to catch flynn's pichu?" mike asks milly looking confused
"i'm thinking...ah ha! we use your new invention!" milly replies and then she holds up a fishing net
"but it's not finished yet, i still have to do more tweaks to it!" mike says shocked and worried as he tries to take the fishing net of milly but she pulls it away from him
"it looks done to me, what's wrong with it?" milly asks as she examines it
suddenly she accidently presses a button and the net falls out of the hole and lands on milly catching her
"that's why it needs a few tweaks" mike says and he takes the fishing net off milly
meanwhile in between the pair as mike was taking the net of milly, their partner pokemons was watching them confused, milly's pokemon was a female furfrou and the furfrou was pokemon clone of milly, both are very stubborn, love to act, have temper tantrums and act very spoilt, furfrou was also wearing a nice pink collar but this collar was special as it made her change her coat type in a instant like how cherrim changes from outcast form to sunshine form when it's in the sun, the collar was made by mike and when furfrou changes coat types, it also changes its type like the heart trim being fairy type, star trim being ice type, diamond trim being ground type, debutante trim being electric type, matron trim being phychic type, dandy trim being grass type, la refine being flying type, kabuki trim being fire type and lastly pharaoh trim being water type.
meanwhile mike's pokemon was a male maschiff, maschiff was a lazy yet cuddly dog pokemon and mike adores him, they do everything together and mike sees maschiff as a emotional support pokemon, maschiff loved mike and he thought milly was annoying but tolerated her, he did like furfrou and furfrou liked maschiff even if he was annoying sometimes when he's in his playful mood and chewing all her and his toys.
not only do milly and mike have furfrou and maschiff but they have one other pokemon too that's inside its pokeball, milly's other pokemon is a female misdreavus which is very mischievous but knows her limits on how mischievous she can be so she mostly very calm and curious, she also quite aggressive when it comes to pokemon battles and milly is very proud of her, mike's other pokemon is a male meowstic and he is a very helpful pokémon, he likes to help mike with his inventions, he gets on well with meowth who now has become a meowth persian mix with the body and face of a persian but the ears, gold coin, feet paws with now hand paws and the tail of meowth, he very snuggly with mike like what maschiff is and both meowstic and maschiff work together to look out for mike.
"let's go back home, i need to see what's happened" mike says and he stands up
milly was about to protest but she sees mike's face which was worried and she sighs
"ok bit we are coming back after you've fixed the net to see where flynn and sparkie are going so we can follow them" milly says and mike nods at her
the pair leave with their pokémon following them and they headed to their home which wasn't very far from both the lab and ash's home, back inside the lab and lucas had decided on the name 'croc' for fuecoco and fuecoco loves the name as he was his tail happily
"ok, now that you've chosen your pokemon, i need to give you some thing and talk about something with you two, come along" gary says and he leads the way
flynn, ash and lucas follow gary with sparkie on flynn's shoulder, croc by lucas's side and pikachu sitting on ash's shoulder looking proudly as his son sparkie, the group go to the main lab and gary stands in front of the big computer in the back of the room
"ok, so, let's first give you, your new rotom phones!" gary says happily and he holds out 2 phones
one had a purple case to it which flynn took and the other had a orange case to it which lucas took, the boys looked excitability at their phones and couldn't believe that they had their own phones now after seeing their parents have them
"hey flynn, can i borrow your phone for a second?" ash asks after flynn sets up his phone
"okay" flynn says happily handing his phone to ash but wasn't sure why he needed it
ash brings out his phone and he presses some things on flynn's phone and his, he then gave flynn back his phone and flynn was confused what ash did
"i put mine and your mom's phone number on your phone so you can phone us anytime" ash says with a smile and flynn smiles happily
"i've already put mine and your mom's phone number on your phone, lucas, so you can also call me or your mom anytime" gary says to lucas and lucas gave him a nod and smile "anyway, next, here are some empty pokeball, you get 6 each" he says carrying on the explanation and holds out in his each hand 6 small pokeballs
flynn and lucas take the pokeballs of gary and flynn put the pokeballs in their backpacks in the side pocket while lucas puts them in his jacket pocket
"okay and lastly is where you two will be going" gary says and ash looked confused
"they won't be travelling around kanto?" ash asks looking confused with a little head tilt
"no, the pair have been invited to go to a new region by a fellow professor friend of mine, i told him the other day that your son and my son will be starting their journey soon and he asked if our sons could journey around his home region" gary explains and ash looked shocked in a interested way "this region is called the Stial region and it's located here" he adds and uses his computer to show the world map of the region which is a big island below the connected kanto, johto, hoenn and sinnoh regions (the region is based on australia)
"wow! that's a big region!" lucas says amazed as he looks at the region
"it's actually bigger then galar and kalos but smaller then unova" gary says as he uses the compares stial to galar, kalos and unova 
"whao!" lucas says still amazed
flynn looked amazed too but then he looks over at sparkie who looked amazed which made him smile
"you two will be leave to go to stial region in...20 mintues by corviknight taxi so, you two better get ready to go" gary says and both lucas and flynn looked surprised on how quickly they have to leave
"i better say goodbye to mom and chris!" lucas says suddenly and he runs off to the house area of the lab
flynn, sparkie, ash and pikachu watch lucas run off with croc following behind him with his clumpy run and  then ash looks down at flynn
"flynn, you want to go see mom and eva?" ash asks flynn and flynn turns around to him
"yeah! i got to tell eva what pokemon lucas chose" flynn replies looking excited and ash couldn't help but smile at how determined he was to talk to eva
"pichu pi pichu pichu pichu pi!" 'yeah, i gotta tell mom too!' pichu adds on flynn's shoulder
flynn then runs to tar door and both ash and pikachu watch him run before following him, flynn runs down the stairs determined to get home but when he gets at the bottom, he was surprised as there was people there cheering for him, he then looks at the,pm and realise they were all the friends his dad use to travel with.
first was misty, the first companion ash met and traveled with and she was with her husband anthony, she was also with her only daughter, coral who is 10, coral also has her partner pokemon a female chinchou in her arms.
next was ash's second companion and a good buddy of his, brock with his wife, matilda aka milly for short, brock has 3 kids and one in the way with milly being 6 and a half months pregnant, the oldest is brock's 10 year old son, rocco, then it's brock's 8 year old son, jorden, then brock's 15 month old girl named jasmin and lastly is the unborn baby which is a girl, rocco is the only one with a pokemon and his pokemon is a male archen.
next is tracy who isn't married but help out with gary in the lab and teaches chris with his art and photography.
next is may and her husband drew, they have a 9 year old son together named peter and a 7 year old daughter named cassie, peter is the only one with a pokemon and his pokemon is a male larvesta.
next to may was her brother max and he was with his wife and clemont's sister bonnie, they have a 5 year old daughter named annie and a 3 year old daughter named stephanie, the pair have no pokemon but they really want one.
next to bonnie is her brother clemont and his wife named mary, they have no kids together as clemont is too busy running the electric gym in kalos and mary is a news reporter but they love each other a lot
next is dawn with her husband lenny, they have an only child being 10 year old daughter named skye and she has a partner pokemon in sprigatito.
next to dawn is iris who hasn't got anyone but she has her emolga in her arms looking happy
next is cilan who also hasn't got anyone but he was happy to be there.
next is the alolan group in lillie, sophocles, mallow, lana and kiawe, none of them are married but both mallow and lana are going out with each other and have been for almost 3 years, both sophocles and kiawe are doing jobs in alola with sophocles being a electrician and kiawe being a farmer like his family are, lillie with her brother gladion help in the labs at the aether foundation and research pokémon from kanto to paldea.
lastly there is goh and his wife chloe, they have a 10 year old boy named rory and a 6 year old girl named robin, rory has a partner pokemon and it's a male pawmi.
in front of the crowd was serena and eva with her eevee muffin and eva with muffin went over to flynn and grabs his hands looking excited.
"flynn, did you get your phone?" eva asks happily and flynn show her his new phone
eva gasps and looks at it amazed with muffin jumping up wanting to look at it too, flynn then hears ash walk up behind him and then everyone cheers again
"what are you all doing here?" ash asks a little confused and dawn goes over to him
"we wanted to come celebrate your son starting his adventure" dawn says to him and ash smiles a little
"yeah, we heard yesterday by serena that flynn was starting his pokemon journey so we planned to come here and celebrate the start of his journey" may says going next to dawn
"aww, thanks guys, you all are the best" ash says happily and he made everyone smile or grin at him while he smiles at them
dawn and may then take ash over to the other adults so they can chat while all the kids were bonding together, the kids got on well with each other as they were telling stories on what their parents did when they were 10, flynn looks at the kids as they were talking and it felt like he has suddenly gained so many friends and he liked having friends, he then looks down at eva and sees she's was looking at the all the pokémon the kids had and playing with them
"so flynn?" a voice says snapping flynn out of him looking at eva and he looks over to see it was misty's daughter coral that was talking to him "what do you want to do? i mean what is your goal?" she asks and flynn realised he forgot to think of one
"is it to be a pokemon champion like your dad?" brock's oldest son rocco asks and points over to ash who was talking to max and bonnie
"or it is to catch all the pokemon that exists?" goh and chloe's son rory asks lookimg excited
"or maybe you want to be a pokemon coordinator like my mom" dawn's daughter skye says looking calm as she was looking at dawn
"umm...umm...i-i dunno, i was just happy to start the journey, i wasn't really thinking on a goal" flynn says honestly and all the kids looked calm
"that's okay, i heard your mom didn't know what she wanted to do till she found out that pokemon performing was her thing so maybe you will figure out what you want to do when you start your journey" may's son peter says and the other nod to agree with him
suddenly a noise was heard and everyone looks to the left to see a flying taxi with a pidgeot on the top, gary then comes down with lucas andy croc and he stands behind flynn
"are you ready to go, flynn?" gary says to flynn and flynn nods his head
"as ready as i will ever be" flynn says with a shrug and a smile on his face
"hey eva! are you going to go with flynn?" bonnie and max's daughter annie says to eva and eva was confused
"me? go with flynn?" eva says and annie nods happily
"yeah, when my parents were your age, they went on a pokemon journey, my dad went with auntie may, your dad and your dad's friend brock learning how to be a pokemon trainer while my mom went with uncle clemont and your mom and dad to see all the cute pokémon" annie says to eva and eva looked interested as she looks between flynn and her mom
"umm...umm...i don't know, what do you think, muffin?" eva says unsure so she asks her eevee
muffin looks around and then looks back at eva with a confused yet sad expression, eva could tell she didn't want to go yet as she feels happy here and eva nods her head
"i think i'll stay here, i got to help daddy look after his pokemon as flynn won't be here anymore to do it" eva says and annie nods her head
flynn and lucas head over to the taxi and flynn was stopped by serena who bends down to his level
"flynn, make sure you call us, okay, for anything, eva will love to know what new pokemon you have and if you ever feel homesick, just call me or your dad, okay?" serena says in her worried mother voice and she kisses flynn on the cheek
"ok, mom, love you" flynn says and she gives serena a hug
"love you too, dear" serena says and she backs off as ash takes her place while pikachu jumps down off his shoulder as well as sparkle
"make sure you befriend loads of pokemon and tell me and eva all about them" ash says happily and flynn smiles too "and if you make new friends, make sure you be kind  to them and don't let any bad guys steal your pokémon" he adds knowing from load of experience
"ok, dad!" flynn says happily and he gives ash a hug "love you!" he adds in the hug and ash smiles softly looking at flynn
"love you too, flynn" ash replies also in the hug and then flynn pulls out
flynn then gets on the taxi with lucas and he sits down next to lucas after he puts his backpack down, meanwhile outside and pikachu was with sparkle
'ok, sparkie, i guess this is goodbye, for now' pikachu says sounding sad and sparkie looked sad too 'like your mom said eariler, look out for flynn and make sure you and him look after each other' he adds and sparkie nods
"okay dad, i will, i won't, i love flynn so i don't disobey him, ever!" sparkie says with determination and pikachu smiles sadly
pikachu then pulls sparkie into a hug and the pair hug happily for a few seconds, sparkie pulls away from the hug and pikachu nuzzles his cheek
'also look out for bad guys, okay, they might take you due to your colours so make sure you give them a good thunderbolt to send them flying' pikachu adds half serious half joking and sparkie nods
'okay dad, love you and tell mom i love her too' sparkie says and he jumps into the taxi
pikachu waves at sparkie when sparkie jumps on flynn's shoulder and sparkie waves back at him with a sad smile, pikachu then jumps onto ash's shoulder and ash was holding eva on his aems while muffin was on the floor
"flynn, you better show me all the pokémon you catch! i want to see them all and you better not keep ant secret pokemon from me or else!" eva shouts at flynn and flynn smiles
"or else what?" flynn asks and eva looked serious
"i will never speak to you again!" eva replies still shouting and she turns away in a huff
"ok, ok, i'll show you all my new pokémon" flynn replies and eva looks back with a open mouth grin
everyone was standing around the taxi now as it was about to set off, everyone watches it go and it starts taking off in the sky, meanwhile not that far away from everyone and both jessie and james were watching the taxi take off and standing next to jessie was wobbuffet and standing by james was meowth which mentioned before was a half meowth half persian mix
"wow! i can't believe that the twerp's twerp is finally starting his pokemon adventure" jessie says and james nods to agree with her
"yeah...how long has it been since the twerp became champion?" james says then asks as he looks between jessie and meowth
"hmm...i think it's been about 20 years now but it strangely feels longer" meowth says as he puts his paw to his mouth to think
"i'll say, it feels like we should be much older then what we are now" jessie says and james agrees with her
"...has any of you seen the kids?" james asks the pair and jessie thinks
"hmm...last time i saw them, they were heading to their room and mumbling about something" jessie says and meowth nods
"yeah, i heard them go upstairs too but i couldn't catch what they were talking about" meowth says and wobbuffet does his salute saying his name
"probably planning to invent something new, anyway, who cooking dinner today?" jame says then changes the subject
"umm...i think it's my turn" jessie says as they start waklking away back to the house
"oh good, what are you making today?" meowth ask with a mixture of both gladness and worry as jessie has medium cooking experience
"umm...i don't know, i have to check what we have" jessie says and the group disappear into their house
back with flynn and he was waving down at everyone as he flys up in the taxi and when he couldn't see everyone anymore, he sits back down next to lucas who was petting croc
"do, have your dad been to the stial region before?" lucas asks curiously and flynn thinks for a second before shrugging
"i dunno, i know he's traveled to johto, hoenn, sinnoh, unova, kalos, alola, galar and he went to paldea with mom on a honeymoon" flynn replies and lists the regions he knows ash has been to as ash will always tell stories of his adventures of those regions to him and eva
"so, you will be the first one in your family to visit a new region?" lucas asks lookimg excited and this made flynn smile
"i guess it is" flynn says happily and the boys smile at each other
the boys watch the view as the pidgeot taxi flies high in the sky heading to the stial region where the stial region professor named professor peepal is waiting for them at the docks, meanwhile back in kanto and everyone had split up after saying goodbye to flynn, ash and serena with eva and muffin went back home after saying goodbye and thank you to everyone, some who live in kanto went back home while other went to either explore kanto or go back to their hotel room till the plane back to their region tomorrow, a
when ash, serena, eva and muffin got back, pikachu jumps off ash and goes into the kitchen to see pip while eva looked sad and so did muffin
"i miss flynn already" eva says and serena bends down to her level
"i know you do, darling but don't worry, flynn will probably phone me or your dad when he gets there" serena says to eva and eva lightens up a little
"you think he will?" eva says sounding sceptical but ash rubs her on the hair
"you know he will so don't worry" ash says happily and eva smiles
"now, why don't you go to the lab garden and play with our pokémon for a while and i call you to come home with your poke k-phone" serena says hands eva her kids eevee phone (the phone is like the v-tech phone but it can make calls to number the parents put on the phone and it has a pokemon themed case to bulbasaur to miradon, also k in k-phone means kids)
"really?! yay! come on muffin!" eva says happily and she runs out of the house with muffin after she puts her k-phone in her pocket
when eva was gone, ash sighs and he hugs serena from behind putting his head on her head
"i can't believe our kids have grown up, our son is on his journey and our daughter will be doing the same in 2 years" ash says and serena smiles
"yeah, i always wonder where the time went" serena says and she turns around to look at ash "but this does mean that you and me get to have some alone time together for a while" she adds and she snuggles into ash
"oh yeah, we do, don't we?" ash says smiling and he kisses serena on the forehead
serena then pulls back and they have a loving kiss before the pair went upstairs together, in the kitchen and both pikachu and pip were fast asleep and snuggling each other with a smile on their face knowing that their son sparkie will have a fun journey with flynn and happy that their son has finally grown up.
